How interesting.  It's nice to hear from someone who was an adult fan back in the Sixties.  They used to be mentioned in articles about the series, back in the day.  Remember the doctors who refused to see patients between four and four-thirty because of the show?

Somewhere along the way the notion that mostly kids watched DS became accepted as fact in certain quarters - but that was far from the truth. There's no denying that kids comprised a large portion of the audience, but there were millions of adults who watched as well. So, yes, it is nice to see this person writing about his love of the show.
