Barnabas & The Caretaker
« on: September 09, 2008, 03:34:25 PM »
I love the scene when Barnabas meets the caretaker in the cemetary while looking for David.

Barnabas almost gives himself away there when the caretaker keeps going on about the dead ,and not listening to what Barnabas is saying.  It's like a comedy routine.

When I get to see this I will comment on it. It sounds good.  I am still working my way through The Beginning and need to see early Barney and then I will have completed my original DS experience! :)

I just love the caretaker.  Especially the first, pre-strike one.

(Spellcheck suggested that I meant "perestroika" rather than "pre-strike".)

I wonder if there were nights before 1967 when the caretaker heard Barnabas yelling out his pain from his coffin.

I remember thinking that the post-strike caretaker either had on a wig or they died his hair..he didn't looked very aged as I recall.  The original fellow looked very natural IMO.  I really liked all of the things going on when the younger Garner, Vicki, Dr Guthrie and Joe met up with the caretaker while researching Laura's past....really great stuff!

Can someone tell us when the strike starts.  What episodes??  IS this the strike where Grayson crossed the lines??

It's my understanding that the strike  happened in Oct 67.  The Woodward character and the orignal gatekeeper character didn't cross the picket lines.  It would seem that everyone else must have crossed the lines since those were the only two that didn't come back.
