Thanks, Magnus, but it now occurs to me that Adam might not be complete clueless in the matter...

Unsure of what a kiss actually entailed, Adam simply took Carolyn's face in his hands, leaned in, and nipped her on the nose, because he had once overheard Julia murmuring ecstatically, "Bite me, Barnabas!  Bite me!" while she was napping.
