I noticed the site that was up is no longer.  Does anyone have any info on what is going on with this project or is it dead in the water??

Though he will be talking and talking publicly on the 19th.  [ghost_wink]

Yes, I will...and those who have seen my presentations before might wish to attend, as I will be unveiling a 90% finished scene with full audio (dialogue, effects, music) restored.  Never shown before to anyone.  Ever.  Don't miss it.

Plus, the usual R-rated version extensions, Intl' trailer, and unrestored snippets.  I always want to drop these last items, but each time I do one, I'm surprised at how many new people show up that haven't seen this stuff before.

The website has been down a very long time, but I might be resurrecting it as a blog in the next year.

Depending.

For those of us who can't attend the festival...when and where should we go for restoration update facts?
The festival is advertising "celebrating the dvd release of HODS & NODS"  will there be some kind of announcement
made there?  I wish someone would give us a date!!!!

Woo hoo!!!  [hello]

Though as many times as I've seen your presentations, I still relish watching those other snips and additions all over again.

Your best place for updates is here.

The "celebrating the DVD release" etc. that's been on the fest site should have been pulled months ago.

There currently is no scheduled release date.

I wish I could attend, but I'm not going out for this year's event.

I still cherish my memories of getting to see the missing footage, particularly the seance sequence.  Glad to hear you have much such progress with the restoration!

cheers!  G.

Same here. The NoDS presentations have always been one of the biggest Fest highlights for me.  [thumb]  And to know that even one scene from the recovered footage has been restored is amazingly great news!

Darren glad things are nicely progressing on the NODS restoration project. Honestly that is most definitely going to be a highlight of the Fest. How could it not be? What DS fan would not want to see scenes from the movie that were never shown.  It's history in the making. See you at the Fest.

One important question remains: who will dub in Grayson's lines for the restored scenes?  Maybe you should get a professional voice performer like June Foray, if not, is there a big name who can imitate Grayson's distinctive voice?  How about Lauren Bacall or Kathleen Turner?

How about Fran Drescher dubbing Grayson as Carlotta?  Kidding!  Of course I'm kidding!  I don't think:  "Angelique has returned!  Couldn't you just platz?" would really set an eerie, creepy mood.
