Hello all,

Is there a listing of episodes in which the werewolf appears?

I want to buy the DVD's but cant find specific information on which releases would be applicable.

Thanks in advance...

Welcome to DS Forums, Parish!

Stuntman Alex Stevens played the werewolf on DS.  Dark Shadows dot com has a listing of his appearances as the werewolf under Cast and Crew/The Original Series.

Hope that helped, at least with the first part.   [ghost_smiley]

That's extremely helpful thanks...  [ghost_wink]

OK now here's the tricky part

640,652,654,658,671,672,673,698,699,753,754,765,766,786,787,794,922,944,946,947,961,962,976

What corresponding DVD's ( Volume #'s ) do I purchase to get these?

Well DVD collection 1 starts with episode 209 (I think!) and each contains 40 episodes, so do the math..... If my memory serves me correctly werewolves probably appeared in collections 11, 12, 14, 15, 18, and possibly 19.... The most prominent appearances were certainly when Quentin was the werewolf, which would correspond to 14 & 15.

You're welcome.

I think 698 & 699 are in Collection 13.

A few websites don't list 976 (the wolf attacks Bruno, hee) on the correct DVD, or in the case of MPI's own site it isn't listed at all.  But for sure #976 is included in Collection 19, which has #942-981.

I probably should've mentioned there are eps in which the wolf isn't actually seen, or doesn't appear in the flesh (like my avatar).  But the DVDs so far are a great start.  [ghost_grin]

There are two scenes that are very fresh in my memory althiough I'm sure innacurate  [ghost_cheesy]

Elizabeth is in her coffin trying to press an alarm button after she is buried alive and wthe werewolf is attacking Carolyn (?) and Barnabas comes to her aid.

Its either in a jail or Inn ( I'm leaning towards jail ) and all you hear is the gutteral noises of the werewolf stalking someone. You see that persons reaction ( look of horror and amazement ) but not the werewolf itself.

That's 672, with Chris Jennings as the wolfie.

If it's the Collinsport Inn, it's probably poor Mr. Wells who was surprised by Chris.  You're still covered with Collection 11, and I think your memory of the events is pretty good.

I just ordered Collection 11 ( I have 1-6 so far ) but it was losing steam for me a bit. I wanted to get back into it with the werewolf story as that was my favorite.

Now I know what episodes are needed to do so. Thank you all very much.

This show was/is just so good, its like art in a way, the dialouge and atmosphere of it all is so lush.....just wonderful

I remember reading about the downside of the werewolf is that Quentin is tall and stuntman Alex Stevens
is short. So they said everytime Quentin turned into the wolf, he would shrink. But I don't blame the show
for that, probably Stevens was all they could get to play the werewolf.

I would have gladly played the werewolf if they asked me but being 10 years old at the time I probably would have been shorter  [ghost_cheesy]
