Members of the local SHADOWS IN THE SUN GROUP and I attended the Lee Strasberg Theatre production of "King Lear" this past weekend. Chris Pennock played the part of the EARL OF GLOUCESTER. There is a funny misprint in the program. Under Chris' bio it states that he has been acting for over 400 years! LOL. I sent some pics to midnite and i hope she will post them here soon.

Nice pics!

Maybe Chris has been acting for 400 years.

So how was the play itself?

Recalling the oddball version of "Hamlet" CP was in a couple of years ago, which closed in a week, IIRC... I hope this was a better experience for all !

Was this show genuinely enjoyable?  Moving (since this is a tragedy, after all)? Coherent?  Well-received?  How was CP's performance (he looks pretty serious in those pix)?

i am probably the wrong person to ask for a review. i didnt understand any of it. the first two acts went on for a solid 2 hours before an intermission. i couldnt possibly sit through the rest and left. the rest of the group stayed for the entire performance. i know "victoria(laura)winters" posts here and maybe she will add her comments.

Only Laura knows the truth regarding Davids paternity, and i am sure she remembers the back seat of that car Roger crashed.
