So I was sitting around wondering today about who would've married whom in the future of the show. For instance:

Would David have married Amy Jennings or Hallie Stokes?
Would Willie have married Maggie, or would Maggie have married Quentin?

Any speculation?

Personally, I think David would've married Amy and as for Maggie and Willie and Quentin, I"m not too sure.

I would think that Barnabas would Marry Julia, they were getting closer at the end. They had been through so much. Barnabas and Angelique, NO Way, to much baggage. Barnabas and some Sweet Young Thing, no understanding or reality. I can't imagine Barnabas giving up and changing much.

Who knows with David... they might have brought on another girl in the future for him to get possessed with!

What about Carolyn? I can't remember if she was heavily involved with anyone there towards the end. I don't think she was, but I think Sebastian Shaw was beginning to peak her interest.

I know already that in "Return to Collinwood" they had her married to (GASP) Ned Stuart, which I CAN'T believe given that they NEVER showed any romantic feelings for one another on the show AT ALL. I mean, for Chrissakes, she could've married Adam for all that logic!

I think Sebastian Shaw was beginning to peak her interest.

But Sebastian was interested in Maggie - not to mention his "relationship" with Roxanne complicated things.  ;)

And she probably would have if Robert Rodan had been available for the Fest that year instead of Roger Davis.  ::)  Though at least Adam would have made a hell of a lot more sense. But then, RtC wasn't necessarily grounded in sense - it was grounded in which actors were available to take part...

Ned Stuart? It's like they had to pair her off with somebody, and since Jeff/Peter was taken and Dirk and Charles were long since turned to dust that left them with Ned Stuart. Hands down the LEAST likeable of Roger Davis' characters. They should have just invented a new character for RD to play.

I could never see Maggie and Willie being married, or even dating.  But I could see them becoming very good friends.  Willie would always have a crush on her, even if he eventually found true love, but I could imagine the two just becoming very good buddies, just enjoying sitting around over a cup of coffee and talking about things.

I agree Gerard, I don't think Willie and Maggie would ever marry. They would definitely develop a friendship over the years, without Barnabas being present to muck things up.

Barnabas muck things up? Wherever would you get the idea he would ever do that? ... Oh, could it be because he mucked up almost everything he ever got involved with?  [lghy]  OK - in the immortal words of Rosanne Rosannadanna, "Never mind."  [wink2]

More on the Maggie question, I don't see her hooking up with Quentin either. He's got waaaaaaay too many skeletons in his closet. Other than Buzz Hackett and Harry Johnson was there a "normal" guy left on the show that didn't go insane/get killed or that wasn't slave to some hellbeast to pair off with the girls? In "present" day?

Well, I guess there was Roger.  He was "normal," and since he was now a widower, he was available.  That's not saying he was a hot commodity (his deceased wife sure was), but at least he didn't turn into a walking, slithering, slimy something-or-other (although he could be slimy at times).
