I was watching the initial episodes of the 1840 storyline--where it all begins I mean--with Barnabas and Julia returning from 1995 and all that jazz.

A quote struck me as particularly funny, clever, and quite provocative. Here it is:

David: I had a dream about you.
Hallie: Lots of boys have dreams about me.
David: Yea, but they don't all try to go back to sleep afterwords.

HAHAHAHA!!!!

From this I thought it might be fun to name some instances where sex appeared, however subtly, or not, in Dark Shadows. We'll call it Promiscuous Shadows. PS instead of DS.

That is a good one!   I think that one went by too fast for me to get it.

In 1795 when Barnabas is lyng in bed chocking to death , while Angelique has tied his hankerchef around the toy soldier , Jeremiah is hovering over Barnabas and at one point puts his hand on Barnabas's thigh /upper leg. It's shockingly intimate , and fuels the fire for Barnabas/Jeremiah slash .
Personally , I wonder if the actors were intimately involved behind the scenes and their familiarity caused them to slip up and be a little more familair in that scene than they meant to .
I certainly wouldn't want my uncle touching me there !

Since the discussion touched on (pun unintentional!) what may or may not have occurred behind the scenes, I'll remind about this guideline:

These boards are not forums for the spreading of gossip or innuendo, or the defaming of the DS actors' private lives. Comment on their public behavior, whether it be a personal appearance or in the course of some other form of public exposure (i.e. a talk show, Fest appearance, etc.) is perfectly acceptable, however.

An accepted source of personal information is a publication, i.e. Craig Hamrick's books.

I remember we were just talking about this elsewhere-- Yaeger's molestastion of Maggie when she goes to meet him at the docks one night. If that wasn't shockingly evident to people, then you must've watched with your eyes closed! :D

Here's one from the 1897 storyline.
After Jenny killed Quentin and he arose as a zombie and then recovered, he wanted to kill Jenny before she got to him again. Beth begged him not to, and promised that she would see to it that Jenny didn't hurt him again. He decided to make a bargain with her. He kissed her hard and said, "I want you, Beth..." and she looked a bit uncomfortable, knowing exactly what it was he was demanding of her in return for not killing Jenny
Isn't there a bit of pretty obvious post-coitalness in a scene with Bramwell and Catherine?

Yes indeed...the first one that I thought of.   Pretty hot stuff back then...very tame for today.
