Joe was so embarrassed that he'd let Maggie see the tattoos above his nipples:  "HOT" and "COLD" - especially after Maggie said to him, "That's stupid!  What you should  have had tattooed there was FOR DISPLAY ONLY.  NOT INTENDED FOR ACTUAL USE."

... spent two hours giving himself the Vulcan Mind Meld, and that it took him that long to figure out why he wasn't picking up anything.

... spent three hours trying to redecorate the room in bright colors, and couldn't figure out why everything still ended up black and white.
