OT<I've Got Some News....

We're moving to Georgia!!!

I had the idea of Georgia, and we've been W-O-R-K-I-N-G towards this for 2 1/2 yrs!!

We sold our home in central NJ & we're *slated* to move 3rd week in FEBRUARY!!

Besides very nice John in SC, are there any other southerners on this board??

Please start praying that abunch of Northerners can be happy in the South!!!

I'm in North Carolina, but my family originally comes from Georgia, and I've spent much time there. Went to college at UGA, Athens. Where 'bouts in Georgia are you moving?

I'm from VA, born and raised.   Being the Civil War buff that I am I can't think of a better place to live considering that about 80% of the war was fought in this state.  8)

Well I am not from Georgia but have family in Atlanta
Being from Florida born and raised my do not consider me Southern
But I am!
Here are some helpful tips
Civil War was fought yesterday and it is called the War of Northern Agression
Yall is not a tool for making holes in leather but a pronoun
There is no singular form for the word grits
Welcome to the South

I moved from Massachusetts to South Carolina a couple years ago. Where in Georgia are you moving? I work in Georgia.
I think you will like it here. It's quite beautiful. Savannah is wonderful and so full of history and good food. I've gained some pounds down here, so watch out for the fried chicken and barbecue!
