Vickie sees the name Hanscomb and assumes it pertains to her and Sam’s painting. She wants to see Elizabeth’s lawyers in Bangor. Carolyn takes her into town and they encounter Burke. He insists on taking Vickie to Bangor. Vickie totally ignores the impropriety of going off alone with a man who is also the enemy of her employer. Carolyn furiously returns to Collinwood and tells her mother that Vickie is probably spilling the beans as they speak. Burke and Vickie in the car discuss Malloy and Burke’s vendetta.
