......(in my own district...no art, no music)

If they dropped art and music but kept the sports teams intact I suggest you and your fellow parents pick up your pitchforks and march on down to the next Board of Education meeting.  How can a child who's never exposed to art and music possibly be considered "educated"  ???

Funny, I heard crys vaguely in the distance, but I thought ihey sounded more like moans of despair from teachers/administrators who've not only seen school funding slashed (thanks to state budget shortfalls and Federal policies) but have learned that they're expected to accomplish a hell of a lot more with a hell of a lot less resources. :-

oh yes cuts :( my son's kindergarden has 18 students and on teacher they took away the aide!all day! it is a disgrace!

Ah, the leaves are starting to fall, a wonted crispness bites the air, and school bells ring out once more...  The sound of hassled parents cheering and hooting carouses vaguely in the distance.

even though it is the most wonderful time of the year i cried
when my son went into kindergarden yesterday for a whole day :'(
and then the leaves turning made me weep :'(summer is really over
think i'll put Donnie into the VCR for some cheering up :)

Well, I'm sorry folks did not enjoy the trip to Newport, but it *is* a very long drive from NYC.

However, for me visiting the *real* Collinwood and its grounds is an experience with a unique magic that never fails to leave me spellbound.  It's really uncanny to walk around the house, and then go inside and look out of windows that you looked into so many times as a child.

The walk along the cliffs is breathtaking, too.  If you've seen the 1966 and early 1967 shows, there's an extra layer of associations because of all the filming they did back then on the site.

i second this :) it's well worth the trip but too hard to do in a one day trip from
NYC

jennifer
we're coming to the most beautiful time in NE  :) fall! :)Best time to visit Newport :)

Carolyn, now married to (hold down your gorge) Ned Stuart

NO! NO!! NO!!!!

That's not only twisted and sick, it's just plain wrong!!

(What terrible hold does RD have over Jamison Selby to force him to write such depravity?!)

[lol2] [lol2]

Ned is my favorite RD role as he is in the least episodes [lol2]

jennifer
Carloyn was grief-stricken maybe this is the reason  :'(but i'd rather see her insane ,as in 1995, than with Ned oh the thought! :o
