All I know is that there is an archive in L.A. that you can go and watch virtually any tv show, unless of course, the tapes are lost. I think it may have radio programs also.

I think you are referring to the Museum of Television and Radio. There is one in Beverly Hills and one in New York City. They have a large archive of TV and radio programs that you can watch at the museum.

They have a website at www.mtr.org.

Perhaps you just love the idea of Quentin on his knees?

Yah, well I like that too. But I'm really enjoying imagining where that hand is going. . . .  [lick]

Loved today's montage! :D That pic of Quentin and Magda is priceless.  Just where is that hand going? Creeping its way slowly up Magda's body? I can see a possibility for fanfiction in that scene. If only I could write.

I'm really amazed at the number of library people on this site!  But maybe I shouldn't be-

[wavey]

[wavey] back at ya.  And I know of a few other librarians who are Dark Shadows fans as well as those of us who have already 'fessed up.

Congratulations, Luciaphil!  Welcome to a wonderful profession. And if you should decide to change your mind and go the public library route, LAPL has just been granted a job unfreeze and will be trying to fill a whole bunch of vacant positions. All you have to do is be willing to move all the way across the country!  ;)

Bette   [sssh]

Just kidding. We hardly ever do that anymore. :)

Thanks for a wonderful story, J99. Since seeing David Selby at three Fests I have really become a fan of his.  And this story is really one that I would love to see played out on the screen. Too bad we can't manage to have a forty-five year old Grayson back to play her role.

And thanks, too, for dedicating it to me. I am honored. [blshy]

Now, THERE is a selective memory! All I can remember about is that I thought it was quite well done and raunchy in a fun way. It may not be a popular opinion, but I think Keith Prentice is gorgeous.

Oh yes, you'll get no argument from me. I guess I am one of the few who really enjoyed him as Morgan Collins, though I hated 1841PT for the most part.

>Boys in the Band is set at a birthday party and tells the story of a group of friends through the snapshot of one evening they spend together.  It was the first successful gay play in which the fact that the characters were gay was just a given, not some major dramatic revelation unveiled at the climax of the play, and is often described as the first gay play in which none of the characters is killed or commits suicide.

The style of it ranges from acid wit to florid melodrama, with occasional flashes of innocence and debauchery to leaven the mix.  I quite like the movie version--some people hate it.

And we mustn't forget the other DS connection to Boys in the Band. Keith Prentice was in the movie so I assume he was in the original cast as well.  I'm afraid I forget the name of the character he played, but I certainly do remember that he wore tight, white pants.

After trying my Borders twice only to find they still have the November, but not the December issue I gave up and bought my copy online and got it within a couple days of ordering. Go to www.AutographCollector.com then click on Autograph Collector at the bottom. Click again on Back Issues and Order Information. Though it is the current issue, it is still listed and available for purchase.

It can get daunting especially when you've been to Mexico and New Orleans and come back to so many messages here and then 180+ from the JuliaList. . .but for here Iuse the "New Postings" option. . .are you trying that Connie?  It really helps . . .

You are not the only one Connie.  I have a very hard time trying to keep up and I know that I miss many posts.  Although "New Postings" does help somewhat, I am still presented with literally dozens of posts, some of which I have, in fact, already seen.  I'm just resigned to the fact that I won't see everything. :(

I'm probably the only person who thinks this, but I believe Grayson Hall would have made a grand Vera.  I know she would have done well with "The Man in the Moon is a Lady," given how she stopped the show with "The Ballad of the Lily in Hell" in Happy End.

Oh, Steve, I think so too. I can hear her now, singing "Bosom Buddies" with great style.

Hallie Stokes is the most annoying character as far as I'm concerned. I guess it's that whining voice. She really gets on my nerves.  [kaiokn]
