You're welcome. I did not realize it was mentioned in the book but I know it has been mentioned elsewhere in print and during Q&As. I do not remember why LP brought the matter up at all. Believe it or not, DS fans at these conventions tend be really well behaved when it comes to asking too personal questions of the actors. They generally do not.
I've seen the DS series at least three times including the original, and really didn't remember BD being THAT terrible. True, she hadn't reached the acting level of AM, but as was stated, she came into a difficult situation. Kind of like a back-up quarterback; there to do a job and expected to excel. After having seen her again, I concentrated on her performances to see if I missed something. Not so. She did what was expected, if not up to AM standards.

Sorry, I think you have it wrong. In KLS's MY SCRAPBOOK MEMORIES OF DARK SHADOWS, She writes about a photo of Lara, her husband, and " their newly adopted baby daughter" on the first page. Lara has three children-two boys and a girl.
