Reply to above post.

She passed away in a nursing home.  I was with her just a few hours before she died and she wasn't suffering,  really out of it.

We were in our late twenties when we watched DS, and her mother thought we were certifiably nuts because we liked the show.

How long down the road before Don Briscoe shows up.
My best friend that I grew up with was really stuck on him.  She passed away from cancer two years ago, I wish she could share this with us. :'(

What do you wonderful people think of him.  I don't really have any comments, I always liked Barnabas.

Reference to the Adam and Eve post--

Adam to Eve "Don't Sit Under The Apple Tree"

Also:

Barnabas  "One Has My Name, The Other Has My Heart"

Barnabas  "In the Misty Moonlite"

Angelique  "You Ain't Woman Enough To Take My Man"

I personally don't know how anyone stays awake with the real heavy false eyelashes.  My girlfriend and I tried some for fun many years ago.  Really felt heavy.  It was a real riot putting those on.  Would have made a wonderful Funny Home Video.

You do realize these would have to be night games.

Can you imagine an extra innings game, score tied, Barnabas at the plate and he hits a homerun and the sun is beginning to rise.

I think some of the color combinations such as the chartruese door and the pinkish walls, must have had a paint sale  on odd colors of paint.  Let's just put it in the upstairs hallway where not one will see it but us.

I have a grandson who will be 22 in April.  I have two daughters and a son.  My baby is 28.  The oldest daughter is 41.

Just thought I'd throw that in with the above discussion.  You never get done being a parent.

How about a copy of--

"The Night Has A Thousand Eyes" for Anglique

"Tombstone"  A saga of the Collins family cemetary.

"Tales From The Crypt" or commonly known as "At Home With Barnabas"  The Martha Stewart of Masoleums.

Barnabas: "Long Dark Night"

Angelique:  "Never Ending Love"

Barnabas:  "Strangers In The Night"

Victoria Winters:  "Remember Me"

Ben Stokes:  "Little Brown Jug"

These are older songs but they work.

I watched this the first time around, and I was an avid reader of gothic novels at that time, I really fell for this show.

It was just after this time period they are in now that I began watching it.  This is the first time I have seen this part.

This is away from the hot toddy, but Angelique's dress was remarkably clean for her wedding, since she had just been lying in the dirt at the graveyard.

I think I must be the oldest one on here.  I remember the end of World War II and the Truman administration.
