That's a really interesting question, if Barnabas would have saved RT or PT Maggie. I really think if nothing else were to influence his decision, such as knowing there was someone else to help one of the Maggies only on one side, then his choice would be random. Once he got to know PT Maggie she was just as real to him as RT Maggie. He has more history with RT Maggie so I WANT him to save her first, but I think he'd have seen them as too much the same to even have a preference for one over the other.

Kitty is an interesting character, an interesting strach for KLS from all the sweet ingenues she played. I wonder about Kitty's life in the original timeline. Did she marry Edward and live out her life in Collinwood? I've read speculation that she was the grandmother that Liz mentions in 1966. It certainly wouldn't have been Laura lol. Just one more area of DS open to wild speculation.

I tried not to think too hard about Liz's age. Maybe she's a 12 year old flapper in 1929? Yeah, that's gonna really be screwed up continuity wise, but it's not like DS never had that problem before.

The review I read for the set at Amazon say it's the same set as the original release just with a different cover.
I was hoping a corrected set with the uncut versions of the episodes would be included. It really burns me up that they couldn't even be bothered to have the quality of the dvd boxset be AT LEAST as good as the vhs releases.

I think part of what makes Laura so fascinating is the complete sense of mystery around her. I remember in 1897 there is a seance to contact Jeremiah 's wife Laura who seems to both be the same and not quite the same person as Edward's wife Laura. That would sort of explain how they can have a seasnce to contact Laura from the 18th century and that there was a woman identified as Laura in a Phoenix morgue.
My vague idea of how this works is that Laura lives half aware or possible unaware of her ture nature for periods of time, and then possibly splits herself into two parts, the mortal aspect of her is left dead and her supernatural Phoenix self lives seperate in a compluson to burn herself and her children in a reborth ritual.
Considering that there is a seasnce contacting Laura's previous son also named David who burned to death in 1867, it would seem that Laura's children die, but we know so little about her perhaps there is aduality in her children's life/death, or perhaps some of her children die but it's possible that she's testing them to find the rare child that can be a Phoenix.

I really love Vicky/Peter-Jeff, I didn't realise they were so unpopular. I thought they had great chemistry and were believable as being in love. They were certainly enthusiastic in their make out scenes.

I've heard it was supposed to be Paul's ghost and that it was a hasty rewrite that substitued Peter.
I've also heard that DC was in talks with AM to bring Vicky back and that what happened was intended to be the start up of a story where Vicky was rescued from 1796 and retuned to the present.
Either way it really sux what was done to Vicky and Peter, having theri happy ending broken for no real good reason.
