wasn't his coffin just down the stairs too when you walked down the cellar stairs?  how long did it take him to think this was a bad idea. (unless you have a dog
like in Harry Potter guarding it!)

don't feel too safe about firearms on checked in bags
there have been concerns that  a gun can be taken out
after it is checked in! i know people are suppose to be checked out and have permits and permission to allow
them to be checked in but makes me wonder!!This guy problay had no priors but it is scary! i suppose if he was intent to kill her  would have by any means and if not a gun then he would have done something else!

This is just really tragic - makes me so sad.

Have no doubt that some dimwits will think this reflects badly on Dark Shadows fandom in general.  But the story will probably not get much play outside the NYC press.  And I think most who do hear about it will realize these people could have met anywhere.

The human loss is the tragedy, but the whole gun issue is the scariest part to me. Is it a good thing to make handguns so readily available?  And even though I'm sure the gun must've been in a bag he checked before his flight, the fact that you can even bring one with you on a plane AT ALL just beggars belief!

i know cassandra i thought they had gotten more strict about fire arms on planes even in checked in bags
beacuse there have been problems!

and i agree Brian he has other issues besides the obvious. the fact he has to tell he is a virgin is pretty weird I mean Who cares!

Just got home from an early meeting to find my VCR had not fired today, and felt the need to post a thank you for robservations!

I'm not sure how long this little group had been going on now, but I'd also like to put in a thank you to all the folks here at the board that makes enjoying the show so much more fun, and putting up with my insanity!

wow i agree and add a thanks also for everyone
here for all the funny and witty postings that band
a bunch of fans together in a common love of an old and dear TV show!

yep, I 've already heard from several [who know about my dual life [coolb]]  who are really riding this!

But every one asks the same question:  A gun on a plane?  If anyone doesn't know the Lennon murder story, his killer traveled back and forth several times with a weapon, but that was before all the terrorism s***.  Impossible to believe the airlines would accept any - ANY - reason to allow this!  But this is gonna be a black mark for the fans! [angrg]

i'd really love to hear the reason they let him have the gun on the plane!
also fear you are right ringo already heard from one of my frrends about it (one who laughs at me about the show!) be harder if my family hears to go to fest without hearing about it! it really is a very sad story but there are so many in the news today!

Wooo!
What a bummer!  and to see the DS connection!  But of course the part that gets overlooked is the ease of access to firearms, even in the times of terrorism!  sheesh!

and times square used to be such a nice place!

so true
why was he allowed to bring it on the plane????

that creeps me out  more than anything else! The DS
connection is just where they met and seems a very small part of the story!

Let it snow...let it snow...let it snow!

I was back East (Jersey & New York) this past week and it snowed everyday but two and I was in my glory. I love snow, from non-stick to umpteen feet. I love driving in it, shoveling it, walking (sometimes naked, lol) in it, and watching it fall delicately to the ground. I love the crunch of it beneath my shoes and even the way it stings my eyes causing me to squint when the wind blows. And the quiet treble-less world it create

Dom (fighting the harsh 63 degree weather here in sunny California in shorts and a t-shirt, Heh, heh, heh, heh, heh...)

Bring on summer! And things you can do with shoes on!
you wear BOOTS in snow , not shoes(at least not mine
and I hate boots!)

jennifer
going to Tahiti at least in her mind if it snows again i'.m not leaving this house until spring!
