Current Talk '03 I / Re:Kinda OT - Laura Collins
« on: April 14, 2003, 05:53:35 AM »
The 1897 storyline is over, and we're a long distance now from Laura's late 19th century appearance, so this is kinda (well, it actually is) an old news item, but I just read something on an AOL DS board old post.  It had to do with the Laura thing, and brought up something that never occured to me (and it might've been discussed here back at the appropriate time, but I probably forgot).  Now, forget that they chucked the whole Phoenix-Laura-appears-every-100-years, and just had her pop in whenever they so desired.  Forget that.  This has to do with the relationship between 1897 Laura, her son Jamison, and his descendents.  Jamison happened to become Roger's father (and Roger, of course, David's father).  Does this mean that Laura later married and had sex with her own grandson, and produced an offspring?  And that offspring was not only her son, but her great-grandson as well?  As one of the posters on the AOL board said, maybe that's what Roger meant by wanting to investigate his "incestors".

ROTFLMAO
quess it does Gerard explains David's weirdness doesn't it?
now if we could explain Hallie/Carrie she is more annoying than Amanda because she is in more episodes!

I thought the same thing. If you're a vampire, take the easy way and fly! Caleb on PC is always doing that but now he's human again.

love when he woke up in hospital and realized he had to escape the "human way"

LOL!  Ours was Sr. Mary Esther.  She, too, use to babysit God.  Str (that's the way it's pronounced - str) was about five feet tall and five feet wide, and when she walked, you couldn't see her feet - she just glided along the floor.  And could she pack a mean ruler!  But we learned from her (we're talking compound fractions; memorizing entire sections of the US Constitution; knowing the capitals of all 50 states, as well as the entire list of presidents up to LBJ [who was the prez back then], and all that in elementary school).  I discovered just a coupla months ago, that Str Mary Esther IS SITLL ALIVE.  She is over 100, well over, and crochets in happy retirement.

Gerard

mine was Sister Everista and i don't want to know if she is alive!
she tried to staple a boy's lips together :o

good points Cassandra but you know people in horror movies.
they go back into house and explore when they think
something weird is going on, always separate and never think to wait for police!defies logic!

I think what happened is that shows just run out of ideas.
after a while happens to all the popular shows(Law & Order
seems be one that has endured)La Law is one as well as Dallas,
and more. It gets to be how much more can you do to these people?

jennifer

Hi Gerard, I don't think Kathy Cody could have been possessed... in order to underline the dramatic horrifying gruesomeness of all the possessions, they'd have needed Hallie running around Collinwood screaming,

"WHUUUUUUUUUUUUU ARE YOUUUUUUUUUU!!!!!????"

Bet the glass in the control room was shattering that day...

Gothy

oh too funny Gothy but Hallie as Jan is too funny
running around Collinwood screaming "Marcia, Marcia, Marcia"
in that voice a few ghosts would have left Holly i mean Collin Wood fast!pass those mushrooms NOW!

Also, when you think of it ... Quentin's room is pretty nice accomodations ... can it really be all that bad?   ;D  I mean, Trask could have been manacled by the arms (as Barnabas was by Trask's ancestor) in a cold damp dungeon ...

A person could go mad in there trying to figure out where the heck Quentin hid the bed.

;)

and we won't go into the point that CollinWood didn't seem to have any bathrooms!

jennifer
wonder if Barnabas was a Red Sox fan?heehee seems like the perfect team for him! he does know what torture is?

I always lose it when poor John Harkins is all trussed up wriggling on the floor sputtering "Argh!" and the ropes are practically falling off him, they're tied so loose, and he's struggling to roll the other way so it won't show on camera.

I keep thinking he must have been pondering just how much harassment he was going through that day for a paycheck!

Interesting, of course, that he appears in two further roles on DS, so he must not have minded too much.

Can anyone name his previous appearance on the series?

Tiresomely trivial,

Gothick

a police LT in 66 and Horace Gladstone in 1970PT?

jennifer
nothing better to do on this dreary day Steve!
