Current Talk '03 I / Re:** The Calendar Feature **
« on: May 13, 2003, 03:33:26 AM »

Cousins who have already entered their birthdays in their profiles will notice that they automatically show up on the calendar from now through 2010. And shortly I'll be installing the mod that won't require the shy among us to enter the year they were born - only the month and date. ;)

Also, look for additional Calendar features to become available in the coming weeks...

thank you ;D

POSSIBLE SPOILER

I've always wondered, too, if the 1840 Angelique had lived through 1795 with Phyllis Wick or with Victoria.  Now, as many times as I've sat through the 1840/41 storyline, I never noticed if the very old Ben Stokes, when talking with Julia who just arrived in 1840 from 1970, ever made mention of Victoria being the governess, or did he refer to Phyllis, if he referred to the governess at all.  That would determine which 1795 timeline it was:  Phyllis or Vicki.

good point Gerard! good old Ben would have been the key but i don't think they let him stay around long enough to find out!

You've got me stumped, Cassandra.  The only version I recall is the Patty McCormick one.  I know it was an adaptation of the play, and censors demanded that it be changed at the end (the climax of the play was far darker), including making the addition of the "curtain call" which is at the same time annoying and intriguing

Okay, now I realize what happened. The movie I was referring to was made in 1985 and starred David Carradine as Leroy and Carrie Wells as Rhoda who had dark hair.   I went and looked it up and this one was apparently the remake.  I saw both the original the remake and thought both of them were good, although I thought the original to be more chilling maybe because it was made in b & w.

Thanks Gerard!

Cassandra

it's hard to remake these things Patty M's Rhoda was one of the best performances for a child i've ever viewed IMHO.
i agree Prof S it is on my list of all time favorites!

oh i say farewell to Paul too! found this storyline to be so stupid
and think Paul came back  because he lost all his money!
he might have found out he cared for her but the real reason
he came back is because he was broke!

i think i'm using the right one is it because have different user name than screen?

I apologize for the confusion, but I only brought up your different username because I was trying to find your chat registration-- the EWC listing for registered members is huge.  But now I'm seeing you listed there, so when you're prompted to enter a password (a display screen will say, "Nickname jennifer_srabsdod is registered. Password is required to use it.") it should work, and what you'll see is a welcome on the chatroom screen.  Though the room itself is pw protected, you can still play around with the features and use the Help button.

no apology needed i tried a few times and it accepted
my password once and then it didn't! just wanted to check it out for the future!
Thanks :-*

I agree, ProfStokes. I'd also like to point out the advantage of all the time traveling implications - is the Angelique who shows up in 1840 the same one who knew Victoria Winters in 1795 (and helped frame her as a witch) or is she the Angelique of the orginal 1795 timeline who knew Phyllis Wick as the governess? If she is the latter, it goes a long way in explaining how Barnabas might be able to forgive her past actions, given that we don't necessarily know the specifics of how Angelique behaved in the original timeline when Phyllis Wick was governess, and she may not have been as nasty in that version.

good points Dr L. but time travel does make my head[spin]

You've got a good memory, Deb, from not seeing it in a long time.  That's exactly what happened.  The one who found the shoes was the janitor of the complex where she and her mother were living (her father was away in military service).  "You know what they do with little girls like you?  They fry you!"  "You...give...me...back...those...shoes!"

Gerard

that was a great scene by the time he saw how evil she really was it was too late for him!

so if you get the screen that says welcome you are registered?

You do see "Welcome to EveryWhereChat.com" in the chat screen followed by the name you've entered, but it doesn't necessarily mean you're registered, and unless you registered with a name other than your username or screen name I don't see you in the Registered Members Listing.  :(
