I have the first two volumes of The Beginning. Does anyone know when vol.3 is to be released?  I didn't see any info on the Dark Shadows Dvd site.

Current Talk '07 I / Crushes on DS Stars
« on: February 28, 2007, 01:16:36 AM »
Back in the day of the original airings, I had quite a crush on Alexandra Moltke. After she left the show, the crush fell on Kathryn Leigh Scott. Now as I'm watching DS reruns on dvd, and viewing the 1840 time period, I have a crush on 1971 Lee Beery (Joanna Mills). Too bad she's not in the show for long. Wonder whatever happened to her? I also wonder if my crushes have anything to do with the characters these actresses portrayed. Two governesses and um, well maybe it's some other trait.

So, if you had or do have a crush on someone from the show, who was it?

Current Talk '04 II / Voice Over at Beginning of DS eps
« on: September 29, 2004, 02:28:36 AM »
Hi all, been awhile since I last posted. I was wondering if anyone knew how the person who did the voice over at the beginning of each was chosen?  Was there ever a time the person who did the voice over didn't appear in that day's ep?

Glad to be back, hope everyone is doing great!   :)

Hope you had and are still having a great birthday,

Calendar Events / Announcements '04 I / Re:Other Favorite TV Shows
« on: March 29, 2004, 10:51:26 PM »
Of what's already mentioned, I like "Twilight Zone", "X Files", "Twin Peaks", "One Step Beyond" and "The Munsters".

I liked the original "Outer Limits" series. Comedy wise, "Bewitched" was always a top favorite along with "The Addams Family".

Does "Xena: Warrior Princess" count in these categories?  How about "Lost In Space", "Land of the Giants", "Time Tunnel", "The Invaders", "Sliders" "Dark Skies" and "Roswell"- or too sci/fi to fit in?

I loved "Beauty and the Beast" and still watch  eps I taped back then. I wasn't fond of the 3rd season after Linda Hamilton left, so I don't often re-watch the show after season two.

Current Talk '04 I / Re:location location location

I also think New Orleans would make a great location. The outskirts of Paris or Rome might be nice as well.

If it's okay to chose a fictional location, how about Twin Peaks, Washington? At the Great Northern, Maggie Evans sure makes a damn fine cup of coffee. ;)

As Collinwood and the Old House are spoken for, I'll put in a claim for Dr. Lang's house. It looked  much larger on the outside which makes me think there could be hidden rooms and stairways, and maybe a little wing to convert into a music room.  :)

Darkshadowyfigure, as to what to see after Inferno...If you liked Deep Red, Tenebre is in that mold.

Well I did a little splurging at Deepdiscountdvd and purchased Inferno, Tenebre and the limited edition set of Suspiria, which was only a few dollars more than the regular edition dvd. Thanks for the recommendation. The Bird With The Crystal Plumage looks very interesting, I do like Ennio Morricone's film scores.

I still need to see "Inferno". I loved "Suspiria" and hope to buy the special edition dvd version soon. My vhs copy of "Suspiria" was used whenI bought it and has some playback problems in the beginning of the movie. I love the Goblin score for that film and look forward to the soundtrack cd that comes with the special edition dvd.

The other Argento movies I've seen are "Deep Red" and "Phenomena". Any recommendation on what to see after "Inferno"?

I wonder if Argento will cast his daughter, Asa, for the third installment? His girlfriend and Asa's mom, Daria Nicolodi, did act in many of his films (I loved her part in "Deep Red").

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Re:OT/Norton AntiVirus 2004
« on: March 02, 2004, 10:55:51 PM »
There really isn't any reason to buy the 2004 version because both it and the 2000 edition use the exact same virus definitions files...

So the 2000 edition can handle the virus definitions that 2004 version uses?  I called Norton yesterday afternoon. The person I spoke to said that updating the virus definitions for the 2000 version could & would likely cause me problems, especially on a 2000 Dell. Before I could ask about what those problems would be, he tried to sell me the '04 version but I told him some of the things I'd read about people having problems installing & running the '04 edition. Then he suggested I hunt for either the '02 or '03 editions, that I'd have less trouble with those. I forgot to ask him why should I have any trouble with their antivirus program at all. I'll call Norton back this weekend and try to get an answer about what problems updating is supposed to cause (if any). I know for sure I don't want that 2004 version now!

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / OT/Norton AntiVirus 2004
« on: February 29, 2004, 06:44:41 PM »
My Dell computer has Norton Antivirus 2000 installed in it.  The virus definitions haven't been updated since it was installed (I can't remember if I installed it or if it came that way). It's been recommended that I buy & install the Norton 2004 Antivirus version. I have read of problems with that version. Does anyone here who has the 04 version have troubles with it? Is there a antivirus system better than Norton?

Current Talk '04 I / Re:Dr. Woodard
« on: February 16, 2004, 12:17:46 AM »
. . .I always liked Gerringer better too (more potential backstory for Dave Woodard & Julia's friendship).

Totally agree here.  I could almost detect a twinkle in Gerringer's eyes when Woodard would converse with Julia. Would have liked to have heard more on their collective background.

I've started to watch the early Dr. Lang eps and wonder what Woodard would have made of Lang had he lived that long? Or how things would have turned out had Lang been Maggie's physician instead of Woodard?
