I want to have a Happy Easter with a Cadbury Cream Egg, but every time I go to buy one I am shamed....seems like I am always reaching for one the same time as some woman in elastic waist jeans and some tacky t shirt, and I am afraid that I will go back for more, dressed just like that in the next life.

Happy Easter Everyone. The sun is shinning and it looks like a nice day. Pretty soon it will be time to drag all the troups out of bed and off to Mass we go. Every year I "think" I am going to buy less candy and every year when I put it in the baskets I realise I have bought just as much.
Strange holiday as the kids get older. The oldest one wouldn't color eggs. He claims 21 is a good year to stop. The middle one is disappointed I am not making the family tradition of the bunny cake. I am making triffle instead. Traditions change.

Wishing everyone a happy holiday.

Hi Birdie, [wavey] Mine are just the opposite! My oldest daughter who'll be turning 20 in July suddenly decides that she wants to be in charge of coloring the Easter eggs. (I was more than happy to let her too!!) So her and the boyfriend sat in the kitchen for hours last night and must have colored up two dozen egges!! Last year she couldn't even be bothered, this year she's all for it.
Is this a sign of growing up?? LOL!!
The 17 year old is too busy eating and running to settle down long enough to even look at an Easter egg.

Oh! Just wait!! The best time to go to these chocolate stores is right after Easter when all the prices are suddenly half off!! I love those places and you can best be sure that I'll be there tomorrow! ;)
Hope everyone is enjoying the Holiday!

A happy and blessed Easter to all! It's been a beautiful morning here, a wonderful church service, and lots of food following. The missus has provided us with lots of chocolate eggs, but I'm leaving them off just now lest there be a large and messy explosion.

Hey Dom I hear ya! Except I've moved away from the elastic-waists and into the stretch-lycra jeans that look like regular Levis. But I will never be separated from my big old black T with all the Disney female villains (have you ever noticed that most of them ARE female) complete with the words "Bad Girls Nightmare" on the back!
I also hope everyone had a good holiday complete with chocolate, colorful eggs and my personal favorite those delightfully too-sweet PEEPS! [nuts]
CastleBee ~ thinking she should seriously consider consultation with Richard Simmons as she comes down from her semi-annual sugar high.

I love peeps too! Though this is the first year I didn't buy any. As a matter of fact the only Easter candy I ran into was a paper candy cup of jelly beans at Costco. I do have to hit the drug store today (no, not for diet pills, lol) so I may pick up a package of peeps if there are any left.
dom (who can't get those stretch-jeans off of his mind! ;) )

Ah, I love those Peeps. Love to bite off their heads first. lol [crowdhappy]
But, alas I refrained as well. Too much sugar or carbs is like a [beer] high for me now since I've lowered them so much of late. Oh, they make me soooooo dizzy.
