The answer to that can be found in your profile. ;)

The quote didn't pick up the previous quote which was a question about "Spirits"

I wasn't sure if your response referred to anyone's profile or specifically DSWayne.  I looked up my profile and I looked up DSWayne and found no clues.

When it started, MB indicated that there would be a new feature to be explained soon and "spirits" were apparently part of the mystery, but nothing has been explained yet.  It has seemed pretty obvious that the Spirits would be MB and Midnite, except if only 1 is here, we don't get to know which one, whereas we are all identified!!

This whole post would be more appropriate on the Testing board, but since the rest of the thread is here . . .

Maggie is going into these Josette trances and seems oblivious. Is Cassangelique causing this?

I'm sure Cassangelique has nothing to do with it.  I wouldn't think she knows anything about it.  I think that the earrings bring back the memories to Maggie.  They are still suppressed from Julia's hypnotism, but actually wearing the earrings probably makes her vaguely aware of something.  She knows it has to do with the Old House, but so far, apparently nothing more.

Current Talk '02 I / Re: DS Closing Credits
« on: June 10, 2002, 08:57:04 AM »
I often tape over each day with the next one, but I put Friday's after Thursday's, so I decided to go back over both of them Saturday night to look for some of the details mentioned in posts here and for the Thayer David credits blooper.

It turned out that it WAS at the end of Thursday and BEFORE the squeezing of the picture!!  If you still have that episode you can check it out.  It's right after the seance to contact Trask, when the bricks first start to break down.  The credits start to roll, Thayer walks in, stops and looks, turns around and disappears back where he came from!

I had to laugh at Liz wearing a sleeveless when this time Vicki showed up with long sleeves!!  And, quite agree about Vicki's hair!!!

The other day Willie was going on to Barnabas about the dream and how he was afraid to have it.  He clearly knew the "chain" was occurring.  Barnabas also told him that he was the ultimate victim and it was in that connection that he got the idea for Willie to steal the portrait and have the "aging" done; hoping to end the curse.  Suddenly, today, Willie knows nothing of all of this.  Julia tells him the situation and he seems completely surprised and uncomprehending.

It always seems strange (although this time she at least sympathized with Willie) when she couldn't refrain from telling Mrs. Johnson, yet she keeps telling them that they must break the chain!!  And, it gets worse with each person, too.

Current Talk '02 I / Re: Adam's Song
« on: June 01, 2002, 06:29:14 AM »
I don't think Adam really understands what the word music means.  I think, to him, it's what's on that tape and that includes the words.  He's particularly interested in listening to that part and trying to say the words.  I think he "almost" understands it.  He definitely seems to realize it's important.

The fact that he asks for "music" might be an attempt to communicate with them, to have them hear what is said.

I suppose I'd have to go with either Petofi or Judah Zachary.  They seemed to have so many powers and always be a step ahead of anyone trying to fight them.  Any other villians, it seemed, there was a chance for them to counterract them, but the situations with either Petofi or Judah often seemed impossible and one had to wonder if they had any hope of winning against them.

The ones mentioned above don't bother me (while none are close to being favorites, I don't have any particular problems with any of them).  I think I'll go for PT Sabrina.  She didn't bother me too much in regular time, but her voice would get on my nerves with her PT character.

Thank you!

I've decided that "Spirits" definitely refers to the two of you.  When I checked in, there were just a couple of us and 1 spirit and you had just made a post.  I noticed that 1 spirit and I were the only ones left and then noticed that it was "fixed," - so that apparently solves that mystery!  Except, it means that we don't know which of you is "with us" unless 2 happen to be present!!

Sometimes I'll write something in WordPerfect and then paste it here.  If I have the "curly" quotes and apostrophes on, when it's posted here it's filled with a bunch of numbers and symbols instead of those marks.  That just happened.  I immediately edited the post and fixed all of those marks, but then I discovered that the quotes around "parents" in the title were also transformed, and apparently I can't edit the title!

So, Midnite or MB, if you're able to edit other people's titles, I'd appreciate it if you could fix that!! :)

Current Talk '02 I / Barnabas and Julia as "parents" and teachers
« on: May 24, 2002, 09:55:21 AM »
It always irritates me the way they seem to spend almost no time with Adam, then leave him to Willie and expect him to do what's right!  When Barnabas spent a couple of minutes with him, giving him food and then left, he said, "I'll be back tomorrow,  my first reaction was, what else does he have to do?  One would certainly expect them to spend most of their time with him, working with him.  And, again, what else do they have to do?  (Julia never seems to go to Windcliff.)

However, apparently they ARE doing more teaching than we realize and we're just not seeing it.  Barnabas asked how he learned about using a spoon and, later, the napkin and whether Julia had taught him.  Barnabas told Julia that he had spent the day with him and then left to get him food.  So, perhaps it wasn't just those couple of minutes.  When Adam said, "music," again my initial reaction was to wonder how he had learned that word.  Then Julia said something about him remembering her teaching it to him.  So, perhaps they aren't as bad as we think.

(I'm not saying they're good, but not as bad as it would initially appear!)

I was also surprised at Barnabas preparing to return to Collinwood as Julia was treating Adam's shoulder.  They know how he can react, especially to pain.  She's treating a bullet wound.  One could reasonably expect that she could happen to hurt him and immediately be subjected to an attack.  But, as soon as he seems to be calmed down, Barnabas is ready to leave her alone with him!

There was a strong suggestion in one episode that Cyrus - as John Yeager - had raped Buffie.
