Is the scriptwriter for the Hocus Pocus sequel a DS fan?

Without giving too much away, a new character in Old Salem who is obsessed with witches is named Reverend Traske.  This causes his descendant, who resembles him exactly, to be the obsession of the witches in modern time.  Hmm.

I was in no hurry to check the film out, but now I'll probably check it out sooner rather than later.

Believe it or not, I'd never seen the original until I watched it a couple of nights ago...
