Continuing with Angelique on the stairs shots, here's a rare version:

(Click here for a 532X700 version)

- though, oddly, the top is a bit cropped.

While I looked for more versions of Angelique on the stairs for yet another post, I discovered I do have an uncropped version of the still - but because the fully uncropped Angelique shows up in the other copies I've posted, I'm not going to bother to scan it and replace the version I posted.

Also, I forgot to mention that the still appears in the NoDS Pressbook twice, once as part of the TOO MUCH REALISM...ALMOST article (which I shared a link to in Reply #56 and that's the version I shared in Reply #119) and on its own (but that version doesn't scan as well).

And finally for this post I've often wondered why whoever put the cover together for the hoDS/NoDS laserdisc left the title for hoDS yellow, as it is on the VHS box, but felt the need to change the title for NoDS to red -

- though I'm sure they had some reason...

That is a phenomenal shot of Lara. I don't think that I've ever seen that one before.

Are you planning to share the Cinefantastique review? I have it, but don't want to steal your thunder as they say. Please let me know if you want me to post it.

While we're on the subject of covers, I thought I'd share these two pieces of exceptional fan-created artwork for fantasy NoDS DVD/Blu-ray releases:

(Click here for a 872X586 version)

(Click here for a 940X522 version)

I believe both were created by someone who goes by the name imacmaniac on DeviantArt.com. And I suspect the error in the NoDS summary confusing the Quentin and Charles characters is a sly wink to how that confusion pops up not only in some reviews, but actually on the NoDS VHS. Though I'm not quite sure why an image of Seaview rather than Lyndhurst is used on the "back cover" of the double-feature DVD but Lyndhurst is used for the NoDS Blu-ray - or why Donald Briscoe, David Henesy and Dennis Patrick are included in the credits on the "back cover" of the NoDS Blu-ray yet Diana Millay should probably be there given that she's the only actor billed in the opening credits who isn't.

It's also good that the double-feature DVD isn't real because if it was, chances are, because the format is listed as "STANDARD VERSION," it would have simply been transfers of the VHS versions of the films...

Two more Angelique on the stairs shots:

The first time I saw this one was on the cover of the 1992 LA Fest Program:

(Click here for a 634X759 version)

A somewhat cropped version also appears in 35th Anniversary DS Memories on page 168.

And I know for certain that I have a still of the following rare version, but for the life of me I couldn't find it today even though I had in in my hand just last week when I was searching through things. But for now I'll post this magazine version -

(Click here for a 1037X826 version)

- and then replace it after I actually do come across the still again...

Certainly feel free to post anything you might like, The Doctor and K9.  [ghost_smiley]  I do have several more things in line to post, but with the exception of one, I have no set plans how or when to post them. And given some of the gems you've already shared elsewhere on the forum, it's quite possible you may have something I don't have.  [ghost_wink]

If you want to learn about or refresh your memory concerning the background of today's first quote -

Page 18/Scene 52 - Gerard: 'Inside, boys! Inside!'

- and/or today's second quote -

Page 18/Scene 52 - Quentin: 'I'd keep them chained if I were you.'

- check out -

Here's Scene 52 as scripted:

Thanks MB. I tried to post a PDF of the pages, but I'm told that the file is too big. How are you posting your files?

[pointing-up]  If you tell me the file size of the PDF you'd like to post, I can adjust the forum's size limit.  [ghost_smiley]

[pointing-up]  I increased the size to 1100KB. That will be fine for what you have now. But if you find you want to post anything else and the file size is bigger, I can definitely increase it more.  [ghost_wink]

And thanks so much for being willing to share.  [ghost_smiley]

Here's the Cinefantastique review. As one would expect, being a genre magazine, they take the film more seriously. Thanks for increasing the file size MB!

If you want to learn about or refresh your memory concerning the background of yesterday's first quote -

Page 19/Scene 53 - Gerard: 'You ride well?'

- and/or yesterday's second quote -

Page 19/Scene 53 - Quentin: 'I used to. When I was a kid. But it's been a long time. You better give me an easy one.'

- and/or today's quote -

Page 19/Scene 53 - Gerard: 'His name's Ulysses. Just give him his head and you'll think you're in a rocking chair.'

- check out -

Before we move on to the next sequence in the slideshow, I have three things I'd like to share from the stable sequence:

A rare Quentin head shot:

(Click here for a 558X700 version)

A rare candid still:

(Click here for a 698X924 version)

And a very rare color shot of Gerard and the horse:
