Has anyone heard which actors wil be attending the fest this year?  I've been checking the fest site but they haven't listed them yet. It would be nice if Jonathan Frid were to show up.   Elmont...

They just emailed out the cyber addition of ShadowGram and the upcoming Fest was officially announced, but so far it seems no guests have been confirmed.  You should email Marcy Robin at ShadowGram@aol.com and get on the mailing list for the online cyber Gram.  That way, when they start announcing guest you'll have the email to tell you. ;)

Receiving them that way was spotty for me, so I subscribed to the Yahoo e-list.  For consistency, I recommend it--

Then again, there's a reason some call it Yahell.  ::)

Since it is the 40th Anniversary, it would be nice if the big three holdouts (Alexandra Moltke, Kate Jackson, and David Henesy) finally showed up and if Jonathan came down from Canada for the shindig.  And what about Lela Swift, Sam Hall, and D.C. himself???

I'm in the DS netherworld.   The fandom will never extend itself out to Chicago, will it?    And my travel capabilities are limited damn it.

Speaking of Chicago Magnus...I've always thought that would be a GREAT place to hold a DS festival (okay, weekend).  It's never been done as far as I know and it would be an interesting change of pace.  Not to mention my more selfish reasons for wanting it to happen there...it's only a few hours drive from me!  The Hilton Towers or the Palmer House would be great hotel choices IMO...they have really nice size, attractive rooms and some also have two bathrooms!  Also, the Palmer House is within walking distance of some pretty cool stuff...it's right down the street from the old Marshall Field's store and just a couple of blocks from the Chicago Art Museum!  Both hotels have excellent convention facilities too.  It's a great town and I think it would be a fun time for all.

I agree! It'd be great to have one in the Mid-west.

I've been saying for years they should have one in DC!  I even have the hotel picked out, the Key Bridge Marriot which is just across the river in Arlington and walking distance from the Metro (DC's subway).  You have all the sight-seeing attractions of our nations capitol, Arlington Cemetary and the Iwa Jiwa Marine Memorial (which is also walking distance from this hotel) to interest fans.  And, if you're a Civil War buff, Manassas Battlefield is a 30 minute drive away.  But, alas, TPTB on the Fest committee are short-sighted and will only have them in LA or NY.  :(

Claude, I attempted to post about the excitement engendered by the prospect of your cuddly presence at this year's Festival, but I'm afraid my fingers were shaking too much to type!

I'll try not to follow you around like Tate's Creation with Tim Shaw, big dark sad eyes mutely pleading, entreating, cajoling...

I think it would be great to have the festival in other areas of the country.

I've been told that the reason why the fests are held in NYC and LA is because most of the attending cast members live in either one city or the other, or both cities.  This cuts down on plane fare expenses and other costs for the festival.
