She finds her sister huddled against a wall, sobbing for Quentin.  I only have you and Sandor now, cries Jenny.  Magda urges her upstairs.  Barnabas is dead, says Jenny, laughing--not Quentin, but Barnabas.  She touches the coffin, then walks around it--I shouldn't have looked, but I feared it was Quentin--when I see him and tell him. . ..  Magda warns Jenny not to tell him.

The Robservations references the quote almost perfectly...

Two corrections, however: it's Magda who says that Jenny only has her and Sandor, not Jenny who says she only has them, and Jenny doesn't says that she shouldn't have looked, what she says is she shouldn't have laughed.

And this is the fifth quote from this ep. The first (Magda - 'You MUST release Sandor from whatever spell you have him under') was back on July 7th of 2020, and the second (Magda - 'She MUST have opened that door. It could only have been her') was back on September 22nd, the third (Judith - 'She would kill us all. I'm afraid we MUST face the public scandal. She MUST be sent to an institution this night'') was back on September 25th, and the fourth (Jenny - 'I MUST tell him myself. Yes. Before anyone else does') was back on November 7th.

Outside, Jason keeps prowling around, and looks in the window in time to see Willie bring a big box of jewelry in for Barnabas' perusal.

Willie tells Barnabas he knows his next Josette will be Vicki, but Barnabas refuses to confirm or deny it.

This is once again a Robservations that has very little detail and doesn't reference the quote at all. However, after Willie brings Barnabas the box of jewelry and Barnabas begins looking through it, Barnabas picks up a diamond bracelet and Willie asks him, "Are you going to give someone one of these?" Barnabas replies, "That's what 'gift' means," and then follows that with the quote...

And this is the third quote from this ep. The first (Barnabas - 'I MUST make my plans. I've already selected the next Josette') was back on April 10th of 2021, and the second (Barnabas - 'That room MUST NOT be vacant long') was back on October 21st of 2021. And apparently we love to quote Barnabas from this ep.

She's trying desperately to think of a way to escape the cell, but all she can think about is that coffin !

Again, a Robservations with little detail and it doesn't reference the quote. And when the Teaser opens Maggie isn't actually trying desperately to think of a way to escape the cell because what she's really doing is desperately telling herself the quote. It isn't until after that that she tells herself "I've got to get out of here. I can't think-- all I can remember is that coffin."...

From "#0399/0400: Robservations 03/15/02: Is My Wife A Witch?"

Drawing room, Old House - Trask orders Barnabas to surrender the witch to him.  There is no witch in this house, Barnabas says.  Exorcism is terrible stuff, inviting evil, says Trask--turn the witch over to me!  Again, Barnabas refuses, and warns him that he is not to search the house.  Trask says it will work effectively from outside the house

The Robservations doesn't reference the quote because it comes after Trask has ordered Barnabas to surrender the witch and after Barnabas has told him that so far as he knows there is no which in the house (and it's good that he qualifies it that way because, as we all know, there IS a witch in the house, it's just not Vicki) and before Track says an exorcism is a terrible and painful act...

And this is the second quote from this ep. The first (Angelique - 'You MUST see each other face to face, and watch that each of you obeys my least command') was back on March 4th of 2022, exactly two years earlier. It's funny that the only two quotes from this ep so far appear in the slideshow on the same date.

When Barnabas demands to be allowed to defend himself, Trask invites him to go ahead. Barnabas tries to question Nathan, who vanishes before saying another word. We're ready to render a verdict, says Trask, over Barnabas' protests that he hasn't been given a fair trial. There is no need to hear anymore evidences, states Trask. You're a madman! Accuses Barnabas. Trask pronounces the verdict-guilty-and the sentence-death!

And once again the Robservations doesn't reference the quote. However, when it comes up is after Barnabas insists he hasn't been given a fair trail and before Trask declares that the jury has heard all the evidence that is necessary and shall hear no more...

And yet again the Robservations doesn't reference the quote. However, it comes up after Joe looks in a mirror and sees nothing and before he asks Amy to go find Liz...

And yes, we can thank Midnite for finding another Joe quote. And once again, which is probably obvious given the above, it was quite by accident...

On the landing at Collinwood, Beth assures Quentin  there's no full moon tonight.  Sarcastically, he asks her, "Am I supposed to be my old self?--should we have dinner tonight?--do you think I can forget about last night--or the night before?"   What if I'm different than the books say?--suppose I change even if there isn't a full moon?  Quentin decides to check with Evan Hanley, seek his advice.  Barnabas arrives, anxious to speak to Quentin alone.  I found out a great deal about our mutual friend, hints Barn--but we must act quickly.  Not tonight, insists Quentin, and exits.  Barnabas gazes at Beth.

The Robservations paraphrases the quote, though it gets its essence quite well...

I'll take you upstairs, she says.  He glances around and spots Barnabas' portrait. Are you beginning to remember something? she asks. I recognize him as the man who visited me in the hospital, says Grant--why is he dressed like this in the portrait? It's not the same man, says Julia, it's one of his ancestors--come upstairs.

The Robservations references the quote almost perfectly, save for the fact that 'Grant' pauses before he says that nothing rings a bell. That comment is not part of the same sentence as the second part of the quote...
