The lady named Angelique may be a most formidable enemy, or a most valuable friend, says Victor.  I regard her as an enemy, says Aristede, since she tried to choke me.  The hand doesn't always bring out the best in people, says Victor--she would kill to get it, as would you, or I.  I vow to kill her next time I see her, says Aristede.  I doubt that, says Victor--I'm convinced she has supernatural powers, which means it will be tough to get the hand from her.  We must get the hand, says Aristede.  Victor counters, "*I* must get it!"  Allow me to get it back, begs Aristede.  This calls for careful planning, says Victor, and finesse--we will have to stick around longer than I anticipated

The Robservations references the quote perfectly. Though one thing it doesn't mention is that 'Victor' slams his right hand down on the table when he delivers it...

And this is the second quote from this ep. The first ('Victor' - 'The hand! I MUST get the hand!') was back on October 11th. 'Victor' definitely has a one-track mind in this ep - though one could definitely say he has a one-track mind until he actually gets the hand...

He insists on speaking to her--don't argue, he orders, this is vital--it's Barnabas and you are concerned. Stay away from him, orders Nicholas. But you told me. . .she protests. Nichilas knows, but he must change his mind because of Adam. They forgot--Eric Lang's message on the tape recorder! It said there was a connection between Adam and Barnabas, and if anything happens to the latter, the same would happen to Adam. And something has--he has wounds on his neck, says Nicholas, and is weak and dazed, just as Barnabas is--you must not see Barnabas again. When I rise, I'll need Barnabas, she insists. Call Joe, Nick orders. I don't want Joe! Ang says.

Too bad, says Nick, summon him anyway. Ang accuses him of wanting Joe summoned because of Maggie Evans and Nicholas' involvement with her--you want her for yourself. Beside the point, says Nicholas--the sun is rising, are you going to do as I say? She agrees to his terms; he calls her wise. She goes to her coffin, slowly, first turning to give him a look before heading to "bed."

The Robservations doesn't reference the quote at all. However, after Bathia says she needs a name is when Joshua asks the quote, and then he follows it up with saying that Barnabas is a vampire...

And this is the fourth quote from this ep and the first that isn't delivered by Bathia. The first (Bathia - 'There is something you MUST TELL me before I can begin') was back on June 19th of 2020. The second (Bathia - 'I fight an enemy that I MUST call by a name') was back on August 27th of 2020, and the third (Bathia - 'There MUST be a witness') was back on March 15th of 2021. So that all means that Ep #450 has joined the club with Eps #2, #3, #195, #208, #211, #212, #296, #300, #365, #384, #449, #466, #550, #609, #629, #646, #678, #709, #727, #977, #993, #1057, #1064 and #1111. However, recall that Eps #208, #211, #300, #449, #678, #1057 and #1111 have five quotes...

No doubt due to the fact that there aren't as many details during this period, the Robservations doesn't reference the quote at all. However, after Julia points out that Barnabas seems to be "in an unusual hurry" to leave, and Barnabas compliments her on how perceptive she is (I absolutely love their exchange), and then after Julia says she suspects it's for a reason he hasn't told her, Barnabas counters with, "I gave you my reason," and follows that with the quote...

And this is the second quote from this ep. The first (Sarah - 'They MUST be very worried about you') was back on April 25th.

And I've mentioned this before but this is one of those episodes that whenever I come across it, it seems like I just saw it today. I totally remember my 11-year-old self reclining on my couch and really getting into it. It's funny how some eps are like that...

It struck me yesterday after I posted about Saturday's quote that a clip from Ep #315 was used to promote DS when it was on in '80s syndication in my area. I dug out the tape I thought the promo was on and indeed it was. However, for some reason the video portion wouldn't play in my current VCR, only the audio - this, despite the fact that the video and audio for the DS eps do play. Who knows? However, I've recreated it as best I could:

For some strange reason, because it isn't that there's little detail, the Robservations doesn't reference the quote. However, the quote comes up after Vicki points out all the different ways he resembles Peter and before she states that he is Peter...

And this is the fifth quote from this ep. The first (Dr. Lang - 'Mr. Collins, you and I MUST talk') was back on May 26th of 2020, the second (Julia - 'I MUST have an ambulance immediately') was back on May 31st of 2020, the third (Julia - 'Alright. But there are certain precautions that MUST be taken. Under no circumstances MUST he be exposed to any light') was back on November 30th of 2020, and the fourth (Jeff - 'You MUST'VE liked this Peter Bradford a great deal. I envy him') was back on May 29th.

And this ep now shares the of a fifth quote with Eps #208, #211, #300, #449, #678, #1057 & #1111.

Because there aren't many details during this period, the Robservations doesn't reference the quote. However, as Barnabas goes to get his cape, Julia delivers the quote. Barnabas warns her that his patience is not without its limits and if she interferes with his plans, she'll come to regret it. But Julia explains he needs to have another injection and the timing of them is of vital importance...

And this is the third quote from this ep. The first (Sarah - 'They MUST be very worried about you') was back on April 25th, and the second (Barnabas - 'I MUST find David before anybody else does') was back on August 13th.
