The film is quite good--well made and scary.
On an interview included on the disc, director William Malone says the film was in part inspired by the silent film Cabinet of Dr. Caligari.
Scott has one brief shot in one scene, and five lines in another scene.
That's it for her unfortunately, but amazingly, her role is larger than Sean Young's!

Kathryn is interviewed on the disc's Making Of documentary--she talks about DS and notes that her character in the film is Margaret Evans RN. She says that director Malone is a DS fan.

So, not as much as KL as I'd hoped, but a good and original film.

i was curious about her role in the film as well. ya know i haven't seen much of her films.  does she have have bigger roles in them well outside of "DS" ? i'm also glad to hear that this was a good film as well.

I was wondering whether she would turn out to be onscreen longer than sixty seconds.

Sounds as if the answer is "only just."

I thought the film was confusing, but I think a second viewing will be valuable.  As for KLS, her scenes are brief, but she has a nice scene in the the "deleted scenes" section, and her interview in the "making of" is fun.

I just watched the deleted scene--both it and her interview offer more of Kathryn than the final film does!

Well, that's often the case when someone does a bit part.  [ghost_wink]  In fact, it's quite often the case that they get cut entirely. I suppose we have the film's PTB's devotion to KLS to thank for the fact that any of her part survives in the film.
