It's very nice to see that the '91 series is also inspiring people.

Hmm. I sense a conspiracy. Hollywood is consumed with youth, right? The Twilight Saga's primary audience is teenage girls, right? Well, unless he was placed into suspended animation as a kid, this quote from Bill Condon -- "Like many of you, I’ve always been slightly obsessed with vampires, dating back to the prime-time series DARK SHADOWS, which I followed avidly as a kid." -- can't be true. He was born in 1955, so he has to be referring to the original 1960s series. But (and here's where the conspiracy theory kicks in) the studio, wanting to make people think that Bill's cool and hip, perhaps changed his quote to the 1991 Dark Shadows to give the impression that he's decades younger than he is, and therefore the aforementioned cool and hip. Governments have toppled over less.

Okay, an exaggeration. I just find the it amusing.

I never even bothered to check Condon's age against the statement. And I like your theory.
