Thanks, one and all!
Always nice to be remembered when the calendar starts to edge over the top of the hill...
Yeah, the ManKitty issa Gemini, with all the sober consistency that implies. Nice to have such shiny friends with whom to share my calendrical advancement!
I'm only 95 mentally (make of that whatcha will); the calendar says I'm much younger (I'll be jiggered if I'm gonna let some online profile make me list my actual age!); my body says younger/older, depending on how recently I've abused it at the gym; internally, there's still a twelve-year-old kid who likes to take the helm when I let him.
It was, indeed, a shiny day... Once I recovered from a workout at the gym that almost made me change my mind about dinner... Seein' as the missus was takin' me out to our favorite Indian restaurant, that's sayin' somethin'!
Fortunately, I got to feelin' better, recovered my appetite, and enjoyed a mighty fine dinner. We then went to Barnes and Noble, where I (finally!) redeemed a gift card I had received last Christmas, along with a slightly higher balance, purchasing some books on ancient Egyptian history and culture to add to my library.
Got some other nice b'day swag (new blade set for my electric razor, yay!), though it's hardly about the presents. Nice just to have an evening with the missus, and enjoy some of life's finer pleasures.
Today, simply because one day just isn't big enough to contain all the fun, it'll be a movie or two, plus a nice walk (weather permitting) that isn't served up by an elliptical trainer machine at the gym.
Thanks, again, for the well-wishes!
