Beware of Windows SP3

Will SP3 work on a computer that uses XP??  Will it automatically dl to a computer?  I am happy with XP.....does anyone recommend I dl it?

I installed SP3 soon after it was released and I've never had a problem with it. However, I have heard many horror stories from others. If your computer is fairly up to date, you probably shouldn't have a problem. But if it's older, like, say, five years or more, the risk of installing SP3 probably increases.

I upgraded to IE8, but I can't say there's any discernible difference between that and 7. I haven't had any problems, either.

When I downloaded SP3 all hell broke loose on my computer so I had to remove it.
