From Dracula to Edward: The changing face of vampires

Though how seriously can you take an article that discusses the evolution of the vampire from creepy to sexy AND includes TV vampires while mentioning the late 60s, describing the current vamps as creatures who walk among us, and emphasizing the sympathy factor, yet it totally skips DS?  Several reader comments, naturally, do mention the oversight.

In case it leaves the page, the article says that Bain, 86, has listed his Brentwood home of 34 years in order to reside near his children in Northern California.
