SHADOWGRAM UPDATE # 436

-- ROBERT RODAN - GET WELL WISHES
-- CHRIS PENNOCK - GET WELL WISHES

***** ROBERT RODAN - GET WELL WISHES

ROBERT RODAN (Real Name: ROBERT TRIMAS)  portrayed the “Frankenstein Creation” called ADAM in the long-running 1968 Dark Shadows storyline in which “Dr. Lang” (Addison Powell) sought to create a “living being” from dead human body parts, lightning-electricity, and Barnabas’ supernatural Life Force. The “creature” struggled to understand his existence and how to deal with the human world around him.

Since the early days of DARK SHADOWS fan gatherings in the 1980s-2000s, Robert’s been a frequent and enthusiastic presence. He enjoyed meeting and interacting with fans of all ages at the DS FESTIVAL events. He also hosted his own birthday party one year, celebrating with DS friends and fans.

Leaving his acting career behind in the 1970s, Robert moved to California and became a successful real estate broker among other endeavors. He also actively pursued his great love of sailing. He recently moved to Oregon.

ROBERT now is facing a serious heart health situation. SHADOWGRAM shares that he would enjoy hearing from DS fans and friends at the following address:

Robert Trimas
11858 SW Lesser Road
Portland, OR 97219

SHADOWGRAM sends encouraging healing wishes to Robert and also thanks every DS fan who kindly reaches out to him with a card or note of goodwill.

***** CHRIS PENNOCK - GET WELL WISHES

CHRIS PENNOCK is known for playing multiple characters during the last two years of DS: Jeb Hawkes, Cyrus Longworth/John Yaeger, Sebastian Shaw, and Gabriel Collins.

Chris has also been a longtime supporter of DS fan activities, attending many conventions over the decades and also publishing a series of comic books with a focus on his DS days.

Married to his lovely wife Lynn for over 25 years, Chris has recently been dealing with melanoma and is currently undergoing treatment. In addition, his and Lynn's daughter Tara has been recovering from COVID-19 but fortunately has not suffered from serious symptoms.

ShadowGram sends Chris and his family warmest wishes for a speedy recovery and welcomes friends and fans to send cards to the address below:

JOHN KARLEN REMEMBRANCE POSTPONEMENT

The planned memorial for John Karlen as previously announced for Saturday, April 25 at the Vista Theatre in Los Angeles will be rescheduled due to the ongoing situation involving the Coronavirus epidemic and the cancellation of public events nationwide.

HOUSE OF DARK SHADOWS 50th ANNIVERSARY IN LOS ANGELES - FALL 2020

Contingent on attempts to control the Coronavirus in the coming months, the Dark Shadows Festival is planning to present a special House Of Dark Shadows 50th Anniversary event in Los Angeles to include a screening of the 1970 M-G-M motion picture from a pristine 35mm master print, guest appearances by DS actors and some surprises to be announced.
