Belated Happy Birthday, Robin!

I'm so sorry to hear of your struggles, but your optimism is inspiring! Your Robservations have been a great source of entertainment for me over the years, and I wish you all the best.

Current Talk '02 II / Re: Mrs. Findlay Has Died...but...
« on: December 05, 2006, 05:45:45 AM »
Did everyone catch the practical joke that Quentin's ghost played on Madame Findley?  When she enters his room for the first time, Ms. Findley trips on the wire that was set up on Quentin's door.  That Quentin! He is such a laugh riot!!

Of course this was the wire they hooked up to make the Q man's door open and close by itself. Amy tripped on it too, when she entered the room the other day. David Henesy covered for her very nicely.  After she tripped, he adlibbed the line, "Be careful".

I just saw this scene with Madame Findley (again) last night. Hysterical! Probably my favorite blooper.  [a1f5]

sad to see poor Barnabas repeating "experiment" over and over again and see him lying down on those ridiculous medical beds down in the Old House.

Hmmm... Didn't they only repeat the first experiment once? They did it the first time but [spoiler]Lang was accidentally killed by Cassandra.[/spoiler] And then when they repeated it, it was successful. (And it all took place in Lang's lab both times.  :)) But I suppose they did repeat both instances at the end of an episode and then as the teaser of the following episode.  ;)

I've been meaning to post about this very thing. I didn't like sitting through the Barnabas/Adam experiment twice, but I was even more irritated with having to get through the Eve experiment what, like three times? I forget who was first, Carolyn or Angelique, and then FINALLY Leona. It reminds me of when Liz [spoiler]is first pronounced dead, then comes back, and then later is pronounced dead again![/spoiler] Grrrr! [hall2_angry]

They're spokesperson-thing was a cowboy, right?
Yes, although I remember him more as a miner. I'm sending you a PM so this doesn't get blasted for going too far OT.

It's definately Hennessy.  I don't remember Rice Krinkles, but I *do* remember Quisp!  Anyone else remember that cereal?
Sure do, I voted for Quisp in the big Quisp vs Quake whatever it was. Somehow I stumbled across some Quisp info when I discovered the web, circa 94, and found out the cereal is still manufactured and sold in those big no name bulk bags of cereal at Safeway. I tried it and it was the same stuff! Congrats, btw!  >:D

Testing. 1, 2, 3... / Re: Internet Explorer 7
« on: November 18, 2006, 04:48:37 AM »
Beyond any problems, I'm actually most interested to know if IE 7 will actually display some features of the forum's bloodred theme correctly, which is something that IE 6 does not do.
I noticed in Friday (11/17/06) night's slideshow that when I had scrolled down to read a lengthy caption, when I clicked next, the next image ("After having caught Daphne...") appeared in a "scrolled down" position, I had to scroll up. This does not occur in Firefox.

I love that scene too and when I looked at the picture this morning I could hear Grayson's quavering voice saying, "It's BLOOD!  BLLLL.........OOOO..........DDDDD!!!!"   ;D
Same here! I even muttered it out loud to myself.

Current Talk '06 II / Re: In parallel time, Collinwood is older
« on: November 04, 2006, 06:03:31 PM »
I think a really cool case scenario would be if Collinwood is actually eternal... for instance:

a. A flashback to 1597, showing Edmonds, Bennett, Barrett, etc. in Elizabethan clothes in the drawing room of Collinwood.
b. A flashback to 1097, showing the cast in Old English clothes in the drawing room of Collinwood.
c. A flashback to 597, showing the cast in Arthurian clothes in the drawing room of Collinwood.
d. A flashback to 97 BC, showing the cast in togas in the drawing room of Collinwood.
e. A flashback to 1897 BC, showing the cast in skins and furs in the drawing room of Collinwood.

I know, I know... too corny, even for Dark Shadows! But how hilarious would it have been if they had actually gone there?!
Hysterical! I can just imagine Jeff Clark dragging Vicki around by her hair!

I usually watch DS at night, in bed, and I recently viewed the scene where Adam laughed while looking through the Old House window at Barnabas discovering the unconscious Joe....totally gave me the creeps.

I loved King Johnny, but I voted for the obvious--BUZZ HACKETT!   [hall2_grin]

I also adored Hannah Stokes!  Wish they'd brought her back to RT as Elliott's spinster sister or even more intriguing, his little-known ex-wife!  ;)
Good one!  [hall2_wink] Of the choices offered I selected Suki Forbes. I didn't really consider Buffie Harrington and/or Hannah Stokes until after I voted, but I loved them both! If I recall correctly, Elizabeth Eis AND Paula Laurence were both at the 93 fest, which was my first, and I hadn't seen their storylines yet. I had no idea who they were, and, although I met them both in the autograph lines, I didn't have a thing to say to them. How I regretted that after I saw their performances!  [hall2_cry]

Here's another thing, while I'm talking about Petofi and name mispronounciation. Everyone calls him Pe-toffe (rhymes with coffee), when I've always thought it was supposed to be Pe-toe-fi. Get it right here peeps! lol
I am so with you on that!  [hall2_angry] I mean, Petofi himself pronounces it Pe-toe-fi, but the others just do it their own way.  [hall_rolleyes]

I watch them in order. I can't imagine just thinking "Let's check out some Petofi!" >:D All the really good stuff is simply spread out too far and wide.
