What I really love are some of Nancy Barret's outfits during the 1968/adam storyline.  Particularly, there's one gorgeous brown/orange ensemble that she wears during the episodes when Barnabas is
buried alive
, and very shimmery blue number around the time when
Carolyn does the experiment
.  She really looked amazing in them.

Well, I think that Hallie was supposed to be the daughter of Stokes' brother.

I see.  But the rules of PT conversion are such that she could still have been the PT of Hallie's mother, not that the writers likely thought that far ahead or in-depth at that late stage of the series.  There were certainly people in that time who kept their maiden name and even gave it to their children after marriage; my own grandmother was one of them.

...Anyway, she was probably the PT version of Hallie Stokes' dead mother, right?

To my understanding, Hannah Stokes was just a placeholder while Thayer David was unavailable to portray his PT Stokes character.  It was therefore rather unplanned, so I don't think they had that much in mind except that she was a loyal relative to Angelique.  It might have been interesting if she stuck around and had some scenes with her brother, but alas no.

It hurts my eyes to look at #27.  "Quentin" looks like a heavily aged version of Morgan Collins.  So many of those covers are absolutely atrocious.

Thanks Midnite, I remember the episode now, though I never recognized him before.

I thought Claude North (especailly in his earlier episodes) was amazing.  I wasn't aware he played another role.  What are the episode numbers where he played a bellhop?

I agree with you, the initial teasers for PT were very evocative and full of promise, but then it was a long time before we got to really explore the secrets of the PT Collins family.  I definitely found Roger, Carolyn, Will, and Elizabeth much more interesting than the Cyrus and Alexis sideplots that were created to fill in during HODS.  I found those filler episodes to really drag on, personally (what really comes to mind is that episode where they had a pathetic costume party where no one at all showed up--yet we had seen a vast and vibrant Collins family at first.)  I also think that many of the later stories on DS did start out very interesting, but eventually fell back on the same-old.  I would much rather have seen almost everyone survive to the end.

p.s. Carl is an 1897 name; it was Will Loomis for 1970PT

These are very surreal, campy and bizzare.  I thought it was hilarious how the first thing Druila Hotmann asked Gayvid, in her repetitive, hypnotic voice was "do you have insurance?"  A very modern touch.  Lol, enough said.

There is that one episode where Josette and Natalie come to the old house to find Barnabas, and Angelique rather roughly show them the door, but they still refuse to leave.

Of course it remains to be seen how much focus will be shared among the characters, but at least it sounds like they all have story-lines and backgrounds (and perhaps ones very different from the original show, so not exactly a summary), unlike in HODS.

I expect there will be very little in common with HODS, which developed almost no characters other than Barnabas (indeed, it relied primarily on cardboard cutouts from the tv series and a load of cameos), told almost nothing about his past, and then catapaulted the story into a gorey death fest with almost no one alive at the end.  The new film promises to bring many developed characters, context, details, and a very different plot to set it far apart from HODS I think.    As for NODS, at least it does have the character of Angelique to connect it to the new film.

I think Mitt Romney played in "Dark Shadows" #CNNTeaPartyDebate

Perhaps he was thinking of Sky Rumson.

Have you checked out the other photo that Josh Turner recently tweeted (the link in in the upper right hand corner of the page). It looks like Turner could give the '04 pilot's Jason Shaw (Joe) a run for his money if they were ever to decide to use Turner as a model in an ad campaign for the Depp/DS film that would be similar to the one I posted back in '04 for the WB DS:

No, I hadn't noticed that picture, he is stunning, and so is his set design/sculpting!  And that poster...I could stare at it all day.   Too bad we didn't get to see more of that sweet 04 Joe Haskell.

My best mate @Kurt_Hicks with helena bonham carter last night! http://yfrog.com/18zgdmj

Wow, I hope Kurt is in the movie!  They need a Chris/Joe/Jeff or otherwise attractive young male character like him in the film.
