Just have to say how much I love, love, love that image of Grayson with Dennis Patrick.  It's really funny to think of what they were shooting in Leviathan just a few weeks before they did this scene.

Julia Hoffman, Queen of the Big Hair Red Hot Mamas!  Go grrrl!

Hey Gerard,

When I was a kid in the Sixties, Lost in Space was my favorite show during the years it aired, to be succeeded by DS in 1968.

I've often wondered whether there were any kids back then who watched and loved both.

Just re-watched a season 1 episode, The Lost Civilization--Royal Dano had a very DS look to him as a scheming Major-domo although I think TPTB were going after memories of Ming the Merciless with the character.

What an odd little text.  Are the malapropisms a result of using dictating software as opposed to typing, do you think?

It does seem funny to refer to Ange as "the inappropriate witch of Collinwood."

Great shots again from today's episode showcasing the 1967 Laura storyline.  I particularly love the shot of Vicki with Frank, and Carolyn with Burke; both shots really encapsulate the mood of this story for me.  And did Alex know how to work a coat, or what?

And another of my alltime favorite moments on DS in the 1971 show, with Grayson Hall in stereo as Julia witnesses the icy condescension with which "Mrs" Julia Collins dismisses the unfortunate Kendrick Young in 1841 Parallel Time.  Truly priceless!

Gawd.

Just to attempt to establish that I'm not a complete amnesiac,I don't think I tagged along for the trip to Beechwood/Scarborough--that, I think I'd remember.  I do have a vague memory of the lovely meeting in the restaurant.

Given how very vague these memories of events that happened only 7 years ago are, I have a lot more sympathy for some of the DS stars who say they can't recall anything about shooting the series!

Ooh!  the red one was worn by Liz during the Tom Jennings storyline, too!  Magic!

I have no idea where that floral pattern thing was worn.  The only thing remotely like it that comes to mind is the unfortunate gown Liz wore to her wedding with Jason Maguire, but the cut and styling of that horror was completely different from the one in the photo.  Both feature really loud patterns however.

Cool.  Where was Beechwood?  Does it still exist?  I wonder whether Googly-goo can help....

Best, G.

@mscbryk:  Yes, and that it is marvelous that Millay plays Laura cool as ice in the scene showcased today where Maggie comes to Collinwood to explain about Sam's "accident."

Love the shot of Barnabas telling Julia he's trying to protect her by keeping her out of the loop during the Leviathan debacle, also in today's show.  Great work from Frid today.

I wonder which room scene #44 was filmed in?  Supposed to be the Old House but I would bet it was somewhere in Lyndhurst?

One of my all time favorite scenes in DS is when Magda is cleaning the cottage for Laura and Laura abruptly asks for a Tarot card reading.  The way the two play that scene is simply priceless.  It truly doesn't get better than this on DS--or anywhere for that matter.

I always find myself wondering whether Grayson had a card-sharp streak from how deftly she handles those cards.  Must've been what she learned at the knee of one of Daddy's Atlantic City showgirl buddies...

Great shots today.  I love Julia in that 1969 episode doing her "If I only had brain routine."  And the Laura series is very haunting and evocative.

From the Leviathan storyline, Julia's wearing one of my favorite scarves today.  Always nice when the rare occasion comes around when they gave Grayson something more elegant to wear for a change.

Today's shot of Liz and Daphne is just one of those moments of serendipity--if only the dialogue had been something like this:

LIZ: Don't even THINK of trying to outdo my trademark big hair, bitch!  I AM the Mistress of Collinwood!

Just a fab moment.  Thanks, MB.

Lara was born in '37.  (Same year as my Mom... funny to think that!).  I guess 32 was an older age in the late Sixties than it seems now...

*clutches throat, puts up other hand in dramatic gesture of avoidance*'

It ... can't be!

Oh... thank God ... it was CUT.  Whew!
