I believe I was watching the show by the end of '68, I just don't remember the current plot line at all.

I know I was watching, but I don't remember this either.  Hmmm.....maybe I was grounded and couldn't watch for a while.  Wouldn't be the first time! ;D  As a matter of fact - I could never move back home because, technically speaking, I still am.  I believe it was, "you're grounded for the rest of your life!"   Sheesh, my parents had no sense of humor  ::)

yep, I've got to go with Dana E, too.  With or without hair, I think he just had the part down.

Maybe, as Prof Stokes mentioned, it's 'cause he was the first - so I associate him with the part.

Liked the blooper from Frid - didn't quite get Mrs Johnson's name out right after the Patterson knocked on the door  ;)

Then they started using a lighter gold brown shade and globbing it around her natural brow like an overgrown, sideways comma. You can see her natural brow through it and I just want to wipe the whole mess off. Similar to todays look of full lips with lipstick, when you can SEE quite well that the natural lip line is much smaller.

I know what you mean.  My stepdaughter refers to it as the "she looks like she just ate a chocolate ice cream cone" look!

I do think that the makeup was a sign of the times, though.  I remember my cousins looking like that - and then going for a more natural look going forward.

I couldn't agree more.  This is past boring!  And it's funny - I don't remember a lot of it from my first viewing days.  Wonder if I got bored back then, too!

I'm counting the days 'til the next story line.  By the way.....how many days is it?! ;D

c'ya!!

SPOILER...

Hello Mrs J~! I agree with you..it would have been interesting to see what happened with that character in the end..as we all know though..he goes into prof Stokes' backroom and is never to be heard of again..I couldn't believe they did that..never mentioned him again..makes ya wonder if the writers were at a loss as to what to do with the character ..eh?    ?!?

And when will that happen exactly? ;) Not that I'm trying to rush it or anything.

Yes but the only problem is, he doesn't speak for the first month or two.  He just sort of stands around looking like a spooky Abraham Lincoln.  LOL

I agree Go Willie! Barnabas was so cold when he was talking about Maggie too! I thought his dismissal
of Willie's love of Maggie funny too. It was funny considering Barnabas is in The SYT of the Month Club but he doesn't even think Willie could have feelings for another too! It is another example of his terrible treatment of Willie! It was great to see Willie beat Barnabas to get to Maggie to save her! ;D

I agree.....and did you see the look on Barn's face when Willlie suggested that he use Vicky?!  Ha! sure...don't use your unrequitted love focus.

On another note, isn't Barn getting just a wee bit warm in that wool cape?  Sitting out there on having coffee with Vicky & Maggie while there in light spring like dresses?  Love the dialogue :
Vicky - Would you like coffee
Barn - I'd love some!
Vicky - I'll get you a cup
Barn - Oh don't go to any trouble

What was he going to do.....use his hand?!

Didja catch the music in episode one?  Where barn is entering the old house and hears the noise in the basement?  Not the usual Da Da DAAAAAA.  I actually had to rewind and listen a few times.  Pretty funny.  Sounded like a cross between something and something else - but I'm not sure what   :P

I also notice that the future bride of the monster must be wearing one of those pointy bras that were so popular in the 50's.

Oh that's right....the cross your heart ones with Jane Russell in the commercials!!

My husband (Irish ancestry) and I were both raised Catholic.  He's from Massachusetts and I'm from New York.  And I remember when I was first married - about 100 yrs ago  ;) , talking about the Italian feasts - you know the ones where the saint "dances"?  I think it may be San Gennaro.  My husband looked at me incredulously and said, "Does the Pope know about this?"   :D
