Question About the Fest...

Hello fellow DS fest folks,
This might be a really dumb question, but I'm kind of lost since this is my very first fest. Okay, I sent in my payment and received a receipt, so does this mean that I go to registration to pick up my tickets? And does anybody know if you can come and go as you please during the fest? Any answers would be appreciated.

To my recollection you'll get in a LONG line just to show your receipt and they give you a name badge that you have to be wearing in order to get into the various areas of the Fest, i.e., the infamous Dealer's Room, where a fan can go broke quickly, the ballroom where the Q&A sessions are held, etc. You come and go as you please all the livelong day. I can't quite recall how they give out the tickets for the banquet, I think there's a line just to get the tickets on Sunday, but I may be mistaken. I haven't been to a dinner since '99.

I'm happy for you to be experiencing your first Fest, it really is a blast.

Hi Jennie, John is correct.  For the banquet you *do* get in another line on Sunday to get those tickets.  Hope you enjoy your first Fest!
