Now THIS sounds neat, and may appeal to a wider audience than the previous volumes...since Lara's first book is now out of print, and I think a lot of fans preferred the first one...

Big Finish's new two-part audio book of Angelique's Descent has now been released. All pre-orders have been dispatched.

The new release will be available to buy for the first time at next weekend's Dark Shadows Festival convention, which Angelique's Descent actress and author Lara Parker will be attending. Our entire Dark Shadows range will be on sale, and there will be a Big Finish panel on-stage on Saturday afternoon, discussing the upcoming second series and the first year's releases.

I spoke with Stuart briefly at the recent Con. He told me he had started gathering ideas and writing but nothing was really concrete yet.

Personally I can't wait to hear them!

Me too! They left off with quite a cliffhanger. I hope the next set is out soon. [hall2_smiley]

I'm working on putting series two at the moment, and we're looking to have it recorded by the end of the year.  It will be another series of four CDs, but this time forming a more closely-linked serial.  There will be some proper announcements on the www.darkshadowsreborn.com website nearer the time, but expect some new members of the original cast coming aboard, lots of twists and turns... um, and Windcliff.  Possibly.

The audio dramas are a licensed continuation of the series but they are not officially "in continuity."  Anything that happened or was mentioned  in the 1966-1971 series is really the official DS canon.  However, it's up to each individual fan to cobble together their own version of what's in "canon."  These audio dramas, IMO, come closest to the "feel" of classic DS.  The first one, in particular (IMO), really captures the feel of DS.

B.Collins,

The audio dramas are sold through the Dark Shadows Reborn and Big Finish websites and at the DS Fests.  The audio books are more widely available.

Doh!  I answered a post from a long while back.  Thought it was from today.  Sorry.
