It was Thursday night, and I wanted to post then but wasn't able to. I didn't know there was to be an eclipse of the moon that night until hearing something mentioned on the evening news. Then with various pressing responsibilities, I completely forgot about it until I was bringing some trash out around midnight. It was a clear night and I could make out the light of the moon through some trees, and then I remembered! I walked to the end of the driveway where I could get an unimpeded view - and there it was, in the Southeast sky, at about 75 degrees, a full moon being approximately half obscured on the lower half by a disc shaped object. It was an eerie sight, something I had not seen in many years. I had to stop and think what it was causing the lower portion of the moon to be blacked out by a simi-circle. It must be the earth itself, blocking the sun from the opposite side of the earth. And then I remembered the Night of the Sun and the Moon, one of the events in a list of predictions Carolyn I think had made in the summer of 1972 . . . offhand the only other one I remembered was "The night I sang my song."
I looked this up in the DS FAQ, that wonderful compendium of DS material once posted on the website of "Mr Juggins", which fortunately made the successful migration along with my other DS files to my new laptop last year.
But I can't remember much else about the prophecy . . . what were the obscured events supposed to be leading up to? Some disaster for Collinwood, no doubt. And I still don't know - what happened on the night of the eclipse that summer at Collinwood?
