Site Down Sometimes??

Recently, I've had many occasions when an error comes up about the site not being available.  I forget all the details of what it says.  Sometimes I can view some posts and then it happens.  Sometimes it gets fixed shortly afterwards.  The last 2 days I wasn't able to get in at all.  Tonight everything is working fine.

Yes, it's been pretty bad and seems to be getting worse. Sometimes it says Service Unavailable.. Maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Other times it says Resource Limit is reached. Not good.

The error messages change pretty frequently but the outcome is the same. Sometimes i can get access quickly. Other times it's hours. Sometimes more.

Yes, we've addressed this a few times in the past few months and it's resurfaced again. And as I've said before, the frustrating thing is our host has no idea why it's happening.  [easter_rolleyes] [easter_huh]

The only thing to do is repeatedly try to get through because you will get through eventually, as evidenced by the fact that I've been posting as usual. Sometimes you get through without any errors and are able to do multiple things without any problems...

Well MB, thats all fine and good for you...but it took me 5 tries between just getting logged in and getting to this page just now. So all is NOT well for members. I'll be spending a whole lot less time on here if the error messages continue cause its not really worth the hassle of umpteen attempts.

Happens with me on-and-off (it did just now opening the respond thing).  For me, if I refresh, it does open the page.  Sometimes I only have to do it once; sometimes a couple times, but it will open.

It happened again, so I copied the error messages.  Then I tried back now and all was fine.  Here's what it said:

The server is temporarily unable to service your request due to maintenance downtime or capacity problems. Please try again later.

Additionally, a 503 Service Unavailable error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
