It wasn't as good as I thought it would be, but when it has its moments, are they ever moments.  And the soundtrack is simply gorgeous.

My biggest problem is Gary Oldman. Normally I enjoy his work in whatever he does, but there's just something about his performance in this film that I can't quite put my finger on, and I don't know if the blame lies with Oldman himself or the direction he was given by Coppola? One thing I do know is I enjoy Keanu Reeves in the film more than I do Oldman, and considering how Reeves' performance is often derided, that's saying something...

I liked Oldman's portrayal of the Count in his decrepit old form, being that way because the blood of his homeland kind of lost its luster.  But when he turned younger from filling up on British blood, he just kind of made the character seem whiny and annoying.  So Mina wouldn't be his girlfriend - get over it.
