Two of my favorite scenes occurred on March 25th:
Seeing Judith exercising her new-found power is always a treat. But next to the scene in which she drags Edward out of bed in Ep #714, my next favorite scene is the one that takes place between Judith and Rachel in Ep #717. [spoiler]In the middle of the night when Rachel returns to Collinwood completely intent on retrieving the key to the tower room so that Barnabas, who is waiting outside, can go investigate there, she discovers Judith is still up and suddenly wants to discuss the children. Rachel attempts to extricate herself by claiming she's caught a chill during a walk toward the cottage and tries to go to bed, but Judith won't have any of that. She insists Rachel have a sherry with her, proceeds to ramble on and on about how different things are now that Edith is gone, and suggests they drink a toast to the differences. After pouring more sherry, Judith then begins to ramble on and on about Edith's room and how she no longer needs it because she's in her grave. Again Rachel tries to excuse herself to go to bed (though she really wants to get the key), but Judith insists she still wants to talk to her and then proceeds to ramble on and on about Edith's taste in music, how much Edith enjoyed singing, how disappointed Edith was that Judith couldn't sing, and then wonders if Jamison and Nora sing well. When Rachel finally realizes that she's not about to be let out of the room and decides she might as well take part in the discussion by beginning to explain what songs she's teaching the children, Judith suddenly completely cuts her off in mid-sentence because Beth comes in (having just moved Jenny out of the tower room), and she rudely dismisses Rachel and bids her good night.[/spoiler]The look of utter confusion on Rachel's face at being dismissed so curtly and summarily after having endured Judith's endless ramblings is priceless:
And Angelique and Nicholas' final shared scene of the series (which is included in today's slideshow) is a complete hoot in Ep #978, with the two of them trading barbs like no other two characters can. They're both just so good at knowing how to push each other's buttons and they're both in rare form in the scene:

his latest plan isn't finished yet.
