She orders him to start now and lifts the sheet covering the body. He tells her to stop, grabbing her wrist, and she says he can't give her orders--he understands that and won't forget it, will he? My life force will go into this body--I will rise, breathe, walk, and I will be free. She wants to start now. No, protests Jeff, only Julia can do this--she'll have to deal with her. Angelique insists he try, but he says he can't alone. She knows he worked with Dr. Lang--Adam told her. He only helped in the beginning, protests Jeff, he didn't bring Adam to life.

And this is the fourth quote from this ep. The first (Angelique - 'You MUST use me as the life force') was back on August 10th of 2020, the second (Liz - 'You MUST open your eyes. You are not dead! Her coffin is to be in the center of the room, resting on a marble base--no marble around the coffin, however. The coffin will be specially made, including air vents where her head will lie.

Tony, writing her wishes down, comments on her unusual requests. She says he agreed to handle her affairs, so. . .inside the coffin will be a buzzer, which, when she presses it, will release the lid of the coffin and also start a bell ringing in the tower, a bell loud enough to be heard in every room of this house. She's finished. He says he's got it all. She wants him to have the changes made as early in the morning as possible

From SHADOWS IN THE '90s: The Dark Shadows Concordance 1991 - PLOT SUMMARIES - EPISODE FOUR:

BEACH:  Victoria and Barnabas walk along the sand. Vic- toria speculates on the many generations of Collins children who must have played along this beach.  "Perhaps some of their ghosts come here to play...  I hope children's spirits have time to play."  Barnabas, "I hope so too."  ...

And the summary references the circumstances of the quote but not the quote itself...

And as I've done previously when it comes to the '91 Series, I used a screen capture from the TGG Direct DVD release that's the same dimensions as the ones from the original series -

- because even though that release also doesn't have the correct color timing like the VHS release does -

- also like the VHS release, it has the correct aspect ratio, plus it even tends to show a bit more of the frame and it's clearer than the VHS.

And even though the MGM DVD release, like the TGG Direct release, tends to be clearer than the VHS, frustratingly, the aspect ratio is cropped from 4X3 to 16X9 -

And the reason why there is actually a MGM DVD screen capture from this Ep #4 is that I was able to get my hands on my copy of that set. (And the screen captures that are missing from other posts will be added as I find the time to capture/post them.)

And just a reminder, we've seen notations like "DS 1991 Ep #4 (-1966)" before and in this case it means that the quote should have come from the Vicki's Arrival-Burke's Revenge-Matthew Morgan-Introducing Josette storyline but that one doesn't have any more eps that haven't been quoted from.

And this is the fourth quote from this ep. The first (Sara's Writing - 'Oh, my brother, you MUST stop your plans for the young girl with the dark hair or else she and you are in terrible danger') was back on June 1st of 2025, the second (Willie - 'Oh, jeez, Barnabas, you MUST have felt terrible'), was back on February 20th, and the third (Victoria - 'But who painted them? Surely you MUST know who painted them') was back on June 22nd.

(And there will be many more eps coming up without "must" lines...)

The Robservations substitutes "more" for "look" - who knows? - but at least it still gets the points across...

Trask pounces in cross-examination, and before he's through, has Vicki admitting she was transported to the past during a seance, a ritual to conjure up the dead, and not for the first time, either.

Trask hurls accusation that she innocent-faced Vicki is a child of the devil, that she admits to flying through time, calling up the dead.

The Robservations doesn't really reference the quote all that well - and the AOL Update back from when Ep #437 was run as the second ep on February 8th of 1996 on the Sci-Fi Channel doesn't do a much better job -

Trask comments that her story is fascinating, and it was sure handy that she brought that book with her.  By the way, before she was whisked back in time, what was she doing in the drawing room?  He forces her to admit they were holding a seance - an unholy rite to call up the dead!   He points out the evidence against this "bride of the devil" to the judges.  She bewitches people, flies through time, and calls the dead from their graves.

What are you doing here? asks Julia.  I came to look for the book, says Carolyn--but this time I found it.  She shows it to Julia.  Where did you find it? asks the housekeeper.  In the hall under a chair, explains Carolyn--I must have missed it. Carolyn looks faint.  What's wrong? asks Julia.  Nothing, says Carolyn, I feel a bit lightheaded, it's finding the book, very important to Will, if the publisher should decide to reprint it... She sits down before she falls and asks Julia, might I sit here a few minutes?--even when she was alive, says Carolyn angrily, I was allowed to sit in this room! Julia coldly asks to be excused--I have to open the suite down the hall

The Robservations paraphrases but gets all the points across, though without using "MUST" - shameful!! However, Carolyn's "MUST" line in the synopsis is indeed part of the scene and may very well show up in the slideshow at some future point...

And this is the second quote from this ep. The first (Quentin - 'You MUST never forget that. Never ever forget') was back on September 9th of 2022.

And just a reminder, we've seen notations like "(1970PT[-1968])" before and in this case it means that the quote should have come from the Vicki/Jeff-Cassandra/The Dream Curse-Adam/Eve/Nicholas storyline but that one doesn't have any more eps that haven't been quoted from so a quote from the 1970PT storyline was substituted.
