Well, that's what me and my circle of friends call ourselves.

So with that in mind we might also have,

Shadowmeister - recognized expert in all things DS
Shadowaficionado - someone who likes and deeply appreciates all things DS (hopes to one day attain the level of Shadowmeister)
Shadowphobe - person who fears DS
Shadowphilephobe - person who fears DS fans
Shadowholic - person who is addicted to DS
Shadowdancer - one who simply must dance when they hear the music of DS
Shadowpuppet - person who has nothing original to say about DS and simply mimicks the Shadowaficionados and the Shadowmeisters

I don't know about an actual term, but when I talk about DS fans, I often say "cousins from England" or "Collinses."

I have a confession to make......

I am a Shadowholic and proud of it. LOL. But I have sometimes thought of calling us DSers.

I am both a Shadowholic and Shadowdancer...I often dance while under the influence of Dark Shadows.  It can be a scary site to see [banana].

Well, a really creepy accountant, so it's okay.   It has dignity.  I like that.   Whoever thought up "Trekkie" should be erased from history.  I know this guy named Brannon Braga who loves to do that stuff, and who probably works cheap at this point.

Shadowfax:  annoying piece of DS fan office equipment.

I like the sound of Shadowfan. Shadowphile is not bad either.

Don't Trekkies want to be called Trekkers nowadays?

Maybe it's best that there isn't a common term for DS fans -
I don't think we should be pigeon-holed like those Trekkies...I mean, Trekkers, I mean, um, Trek-Americans...uh.. [crazd]

When I first discovered DS fandom, I join a DS group.
They sent me a membership card. I made the mistake of showing
this to my sister. So when she made fun of me, she'd tell people
that I am a Card Carrying Member of Dark Shadows.

I like the sound of that.....I'm a Card Carrying Member of Dark Shadows.  Nothing wrong with that!  Makes you sound quite impressive.

I also love the term Shadowmeister.  A good friend of mine always teases me about Roger.  She refers to him as the Rogmeister.
