I know my questios aren't part of DS, but, I don't know others who know computer 'stuff'.

Some months back, I had asked about Win 10.

Now I read that Win 10 is Microsoft's LAST Windows.
(I'm not sure if what I read stated what it would be.)

Does anyone know a tentative release date? I'm in need of a new computer, and really don't want to be bothered with Win 10, if something else is close by.

Yeah, I've got Win 10 and my Auntie has it and we're both thinking, "Guys? So many whistles and bells all over the place are distracting. Do you want us to efficiently use these tools or not?"

I was hoping there would be a possible Win 11 that would be as straight-forward as Win 7. (Or they could call it Windows 7-11 if their humour was like mine.) But alas!

I have no answers for you, I'm afraid, but I highly empathize! I've been trying to discern how to get Linux OS instead, but I'm also having trouble with that. It's all these problems with lack of discussion and finding the right people going on these days.

MB would tell you how to 'get' Linux.

The next Microsoft will NOT be Windows, again, has anyone heard when this will be? I REALLY need a new computer.
