I looked up some recaps of the last episode and one of them compared the premise to the old show "Early Edition," when a cat delivered a newspaper to a man every day - and it was the next day's paper, and he would try to prevent tragedies that were to happen.  I had completely forgotten that there was such a series.

I was checking the listings for Decades to see if it switched to Start, and while it's still listed as Decades, as of the 3rd all of the listings were different than usual, so I'm assuming it's the Start lineup.  And, it turns out that there are 3 episodes of "Early Edition" every day!  In case anyone is interested, it starts at 2 AM Tuesday.  It was really a funny coincidence seeing it mentioned in connection with Elementary and just then I see that it's starting to be shown.

([pointing-up]  What I think is even more interesting than that is that, with the exception of Early Edition, it seems like all the other series the network is running feature strong female lead characters: Cold Case, The Closer, Medium, Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman, The Profiler, etc. They would seem to be trying to attract a female audience, so maybe Kyle Chandler was thrown in for eye candy.  [ghost_grin])
