I once worked(loose term) on  Gower  about a block North of Hollywood Blvd, as a drivers instructor, until i failed my driving test, passing a slow car over a double yellow line.. ;D  Hey, Waffle house and Walmart, now we are talking!!  Both 2 miles from where i live, and a Super Wally no less   8)
its a sudden death that i know, my father wrote me to say that, my cousin, uncle jeremiah was, was very disturbed.

I listed Musso & Frank's, but it is pricey, btw.

I have a hankering for their steaks now.  Yummy.  It is on the pricey side but going for lunch instead of dinner would be less expensive.  I just dig the atmosphere.  It's so old timey.

Chicken and waffles sounds good too!  Been a long time since I've seen Roscoe.

Forgot to add that there are 2 DJ dance clubs in the H&H Center:
  • The upscale Highlands, open Fri & Sat, see schedule for hours (dress: upscale casual).
  • Level 3, open til 2 a.m. on Mon, Wed, Fri, and becomes an over-18 club on Sat (dress: hip).

Also, for Ramones fans (again, you know who you are ;)), Johnny Ramone's statue is at the Hollywood Forever Cemetery; also Dee Dee's gravesite.

Finally, a camera phone photo taken on a recent visit:
