38 years ago, April 1967

It was 38 years ago this month that changed Dark Shadows forever. The return of Barnabas Collins to Collinwood, 172 years after being chained in a coffin.

I created a collage to mark the occasion, I know it is a week early, but decided to post it anyway. Enjoy.

Great collage Adrianwolfblood.  I love that you have marked the anniversary of Barnabas.  It's a really nice one to remember.

Well, I'm going to kill myself now.  Not only had Adrianwolfblood( by the way...welcome) done this collage, but it's a beautiful collage.  And I first saw Barnabas.  I was 10 years old.  How do you people do these wonderful collages?

Well, gotta go kill myself now....
Cassandra:  I have a potion.  You know it well.  As soon as she drinks it, within an hour, she will go to sleep and have the dream.
Nicholas:  I am much to talented to spend my time drugging drinks.

Thanks. I try. I use photoshop, paintshop, bryce 3d, photosuite for my images. I also have done a few music videos using clips from the dvds.  Here is another image I finished for someone special not long ago. She is a big time Nicholas Blair fan(who isnt? The guy is a ham on camera.)

Wow Adrianwolfblood!  That's a great collage, and I love the amazing job you did on the Nicholas Blair pic as well as the Angelique pic in your Avatar!  Very cool.

He has been gracing us at the The Dark Shadows Files for quite some time now.  They all reside in  his folder

Yep, I joined his YahooGroup awhile back.  Check it out if ya haven't folks.  Adrianwolfblood has some amazing images there.  In fact, the "Dark Barnabas" pic is my desktop image!  [blackbat] [vampire]

thanks. No, strangely enough I havent. May do that today just because. I think its the hair that throws me off. Evil blondes with dazzling eyes are my weakness. I have more images of Angelique than any other character.

The Dark Barnabas, penny, I took off the scene where Sandor released Barnabas from the chained Coffin in 1897. I toyed with the dark strokes and other brush effects in photoshop, those I dont use often, but added the ruby glass effect over the eyes, added a few more layers, and that is how it came out. Lot better than I expected. I think it gave him a more sense of realism. A hard look at what he really was. A monster. One with a conscious. Who hated his existence, but was powerless to stop himself.

Angelique did her work well. Sometimes I wonder if she planned for him to cling to his humanity. Most others would just let the curse consume them.

I know exactly what you mean by "Evil blondes with dazzling eyes..."

I myself have a weakness for dark hair and dark, sad eyes. My own weakness is for an eccentric, skinny redhead with a basso Bankhead voice and a rolling infectious laugh who clutches her neck frequently and has the most kabuki approach to registering shock I've ever seen.
