I finally got around to seeing It this afternoon. The kid actors were quite good. The rest of it was very disappointing. A couple of jump scares but Pennywise just didn't seem that much of a threat. After the opening killing, Pennywise doesn't really do all that much except play with his food. The book was a LOT better.

I wish I could see it to offer my impression, but due to certain health issues I can't go to movie theaters anymore.  Well, considering what it costs now, even for matinees and "cheap nights on Tuesdays," it's not like I can afford it.

It screenwriter says The Lost Boys is the perfect Halloween movie
Gary Dauberman recommends the 1987 vampire tale as ideal October viewing

(Now, that's something I can get behind more that Hocus Pocus being the greatest Halloween movie!!)
